2016 Q5 3.0L used oil analysis by Blackstone Labs

Decided after 6 months of driving to change the oil to Liqui Moly 5W-40 Synthetic, a bottle of Liqui Moly Cera Tec Friction Modifier, a new K&N oil filter, and a magnetic oil drain plug.
Below is my used oil analysis.

    Some notes:
[LIST=1][*]I drive very little. During 6 months I drove ~2,600. Most are between 15-35 mile trips.[*]I did 2 round trips to NYC, so about 1,000 miles (of the 3,600) are from that (4 x 250 miles).[*]At 1,268 miles, I installed the Stage 2 GIAC upgrade to my 2016 Q5 3.0L. I've been flogging on it constantly.[*]I love my Mityvac. I used it to remove the oil before getting under the car to replace the drain plug with the magnetic one I bought and no oil drained out. I'd certainly recommend it for those doing there own oil changes.

    2016 used oil Analysis by blackstone-labs (

I recently had an analysis done as well. We've got similar setups and driving habits (I drive roughly 5k miles a year with a good portion of that being longer trips). I switched to Pennzoil from the standard Castrol fill now that I'm APR Stage 2. Are you planning to go with one year intervals? If so we'll probably have pretty good comparison points!

    Here's my analysis for reference.

Heard pretty good things on K&N oil filters.

    You use Mann-Filter?

    Latest Oil analysis:

The virgin sample of the oil used is:

There was already 7ppm of Aluminum in the virgin sample, so i am not worried about that amount in the oil.
