Supercharger installation cost

Okay I just got the JHM SC, motor mounts and short shifter.
What is an average time and cost for installation of the SC and motor mounts?

Why don't you contact JHM for a quote and use this as your point of reference. You could have possibly negotiated the installation costs into the price you paid if you went through an authorized dealer but moot point now. may I suggest having one of their authorized dealers do the installation. Where are you located? You'll save yourself the headaches, trust me.

Edit: I see that you're in AL. Try APR LLC but I think they may be R&D only now or Covert Customs.

I contacted APR months ago when I was about to get their SC. But they informed me they don't do the
Install anymore. I'm in Ga. I will take your advice and contact JHM and see what they charge and go from there.
I know the price will be different on the West coast than on the East coast so I was trying to
Get an idea from some of the guys here and hopefully get some different shops
From them if in the area that have already did the JHM SC install. Thanks for replying.

I think it was about a 15 hour install according to jhm so labor rate by 15

I did the JHM charger kit on my 08 s5 by myself on a lift. Took me just about 12 hours from on the lift off the lift. And another hour to set up and flash the tune. I do most all my own work but this was the first time I had ever got my hands dirty on a B8.

Motor mounts are approx 4 hours.

install was really quite simple. just time consuming. you need a little fabrication background for some slight modification to existing pieces(going to need a cut off wheel/grinder/dremel what have you). other than that no special tools that i can remember. typical - allen/torx/sockets/open end&ratcheting wrenches. torque wrench.

the worst part of the entire thing...for me.. was my lower rad hose was stuck. i fought that mf'r for what seemed like forever trying not to break the rad neck. that and the pcv check valve...tight spot back there.

JHM provides you with some REALLY good instructions with photos that take you step by step.

Plan to have it tied up for a weekend. Drop the cover/rad support on a friday night and take your time over a weekend doing it. It's really not that bad. I started it just like that on a friday night after work. Got it on the lift. dropped the front cover and rad support. Came back sat morning to dive in. drove it home sunday afternoon before dark.

Nice, that doesn't seem so bad. Sounds a lot easier than the b5 S4 motor/trans pull done solo in a driveway with hand tools.

done that too. middle of winter outside with hand tools. blew a clutch in my old santorin b5s4 stag3+meth...that was a fun car. supercharger install was MUCH easier haha

Sounds like I should be golden to take care of install myself when I finally pick this kit up then. Thanks for the feedback
