How to put car in service mode/position?

I am trying to open up more room under the hood so i can access and replace the accessory belt on my S4.

As it is currently, it is impossible to replace the belt, unless i remove the radiator and a bunch of other things. I was barely able to replace the SC belt this weekend. It was extremely challenging given the lack of any clearance between engine and radiator.
I've replaced belts on MANY different cars/SUVs before and the S4 is the most challenging so far. There is got to be an easier way.

I've been reading online that some of the older A4s and other models had the option to be put into "service mode", where basically the front end moves out for better service access to the engine and it's components.

Is this even possible on the B8 platform?

If yes, how do we do this? Are there any step-by-step instructions?

If not, then how do i replace the accessory belt on my car? What If i need to replace the water pump, how do i get to it? There has to be a way, since right now, it is virtually impossible to service any of these components. The radiator is just too close.

    Thanks in advance!

Did this work for your car? I have a B8 09 Audi A4 Quattro 2.0L and trying to also put it in the carrier service position.

Worked for me. I believe most have done this on this platform when switching out their s/c pulley.

Yes there are three large bolts on either side of the radiator tied into the frame that get removed. There is two small torxs bolts underneath where the belly pan is on either side that come out also. Then you thread in 5” bolt so the front end hangs off that. Disconnect the top vent of the coolant res and you should be good. Gains you about four inches.

this makes working on the car much simpler. Only issue I had is reverse camera now doesn't work for some reason. I wonder if it needs to be reset or something after disconnecting the front bar.
