Just wanted to chime in that I found this thread when Googling to double-check the torque for the drain-plug. It is the first result (as GrapeBandit, above, mentions), which is funny as hell, considering the sarcastic initial reply, and subsequent others suggesting or alluding to just Googling it. (Read: Googling it brought me here, ha!)

Also, I looked it up in the (B8) service manual, considering the guttural trolling, and it is indeed 30Nm for the B8 series, and since B8.5 is just a facelift (albeit w/ E85 muck-ery), it's also very likely 30Nm.

Agreed. These cars are not honda civics, torque is important sometimes. For the drain plug, it's a crush washer so you need it tight enough to crush that so it makes a seal, unlike most cars. However if you make it too tight and strip the threads you're screwed. The drain plug is one bolt I always use a torque wrench on.
