New 2016 S3 Audi Exclusive edition build

Went into the dealer to trade-in my white 2013 TTS coupe and fell in love with the Vegas Yellow Audi Exclusive Edition 2016 S3 with yellow contrast quilted sport seat stitching sitting in the middle of the showroom, so of course I couldn't walk out of there without it! 1 of only 5 produced in that color, so pretty excited to make it stand out even more!

Getting dark tints done this week which should look sick against the yellow paint. Possibly going to black-out the rear half of the roof and the chrome strips around the windows, too. Still undecided about blacking-out the grille and other silver body pieces...

Going to keep the beautiful stock 19" tuning fork wheels and just ordered H&R lowering springs and 12.5mm front / 17.5mm rear ECS wheel spacers. Initially ordered the H&R super sport springs to achieve a more aggressive look, but after reading through as many threads as I could on the topic, decided to order the regular sport springs, too. Going to take both with me to the shop before making a final decision. I don't mind a semi-stiff ride (haha), but a lot of bounciness could get very annoying for a daily driver. Anybody been fine with the ride with the super sports?

After doing the drop and spacers, I plan to get an ECU Stage 1+ upgrade, but haven't decided between APR or Unitronic yet. Any suggestions on going with one over the other? I went with the APR stage 1+ on my 2013 TTS, but I'm open to something new (better?).

just my opinion, i would wait to see how the new vwr springs perform, waiting on reviews. as for software, ive narrowed my stage 1 choices between giac and united motorsports.

From the shop, then it was straight to get the windows tinted. Went with 20% all around. Here are a few more pics to give an idea of the stance and overall look, but I plan to do a nice photo shoot once I complete the full black & yellow theme on the roof, window trim, etc.

I do agree with you on that, I have the Viper Green and plan on covering up the silver as soon as possible.

Plastidip the chrome pieces you want black in case you want to go back to chrome in the future. If not, a simple black spray paint is the cheapest and easiest way by far. Just ensure you make good use of painters tape to protect any areas on the piece you don't want black. I've blacked out complete bumpers areas using nothing more than black bumper paint and painters tape. Heres my last job. Sorry its not an Audi, but the concept is the same. I've done metal door trimes, chrome.. ect. It also lasts many years if done correctly. Temp and prep are the key.

Once you master spray paint you can make it look as good as powder coating: Heat surface your spraying + tons of clear coat = high quality spray paint shine/gloss. TA was my practice car. Wasn't too worried about braking parts since they are easy and cheap to replace.

PlastiDip may work for the rings and badge, but I prefer a gloss finish for the roof, grille trim, window trim, and spoiler. May try to vinyl wrap those myself instead...
