b7 2.0t tunes what are some of the best out there from experience.

so I am looking for a tune and most likely will get tuned at waterfest. I don't have much mods on my car except a forge dv and spacer and a ecs tuning intake that crazy one with the K. I heard from someone else that unitronic and revo are prob one of the best ones as well as united motorsports. From experience can someone tell me what tunes they have and if they like it. I saw that unitronic offers the most hp and torque.

If you are planning to tune your car, you might want to get rid of that diverter valve spacer. It'll cause underboost issues.

I'm actually running the exact same setup (minus the spacer). My cars been APR stg I tuned for a year now and I love it. It's very smooth and responsive. The only thing I wish was a stronger pull towards redline. Kind of falls flat after 5500 rpm.

They don't post numbers, just pass times. I have a JHM stage 2, 93 octane tune. It's a rocket.

Look into the JHM stage 2, 91 octane tune.

The DV spacer is a waste of money. I had to remove the one on my car because it was consistently underboosting. I replaced it with a Go Fast Bits DV+ and couldn't be happier. The reason they underboost is because the DV spacer is releasing metered air that is supposed to go back into the intake tract. It's also. Great way to destroy your turbo...

I can't get a stage 2 I don't have an exhaust just an intake and a diverter valve. I have a forge diverter valve and a forge diverter valve spacer. so basically I have the spacer ontop of the DV and ok I am going to take the spacer off.

I had APR Stg 1. The hp jump is showing on their site. Good enough for me since I was a newbie (still am!). But it does falls flat after 5-5500. Switched directly to JHM Stg 2 91 Oct and was very impressed especially after 5500 up to the redline. It pulls and pulls!

Just make sure your engine is healthy, though. Keep up with the maintenance and all...

I was thinking the exact same thing. I remember a time when the only responses would have been "Search, goddammit!"

"Which tune" and "which exhaust" threads probably make up 50% of the threads on this damn forum.

I've had a Unitronic Stage 1+ for a while and I am very happy with it. Pulls pretty hard to about 5700 rpm and then drops off which is really my only complaint. I believe JHM doesn't have this issue making it a favorite.

Our software has been very popular as of late as it is packed with all of the new tuning technology that wasn't available/figured out 10 years ago when most of the current tunes on the market were first developed. From my experience, and just about every customers experience so far it is the biggest bang for your buck!

I wasn't sure if there was gonna be the stage 2 that just required exhaust in the 93 and the stage 2+ or whatever you wanted to call it that would require fuel pump or just the latter.

Went on the site to check the price, which is about average. The issue is having to buy a $150 cable. Can you just use a vag-com cable or do you have to use the 150 one? Any option to send in the ecu?

I am APR stage 1 for about 225k miles with no complaints. Some more power would be nice once I take care of maintenance, clutch and see how my stock turbo is doing.

Your alternative is have a shop do the tune like most tunes require you to do. You can also try to find someone local that might already have the cable to do the tune.

Please prove your point? i never had problem with my spacer , boosting at 21 psi and no surging. Dont want to start a debate, but if you're right, i would like to know where you got that, i might be underboosting at 21 psi? The only thing i can see, it's anti-rusting my engine bay in that area by spitting oil everywhere.

b7 2.0t tunes what are some of the best out there from experience.

The spacer lets the DV vent to atmosphere right? If so then that messes with the ECU fueling calibrations and makes the car run weirdly. They're not designed to lose air past the MAF.

I am getting a jhm tune and there is a authorized dealer near me too which is good. So it would be $600 for stage 1?
