HELP My 2014 S4 can't stream music from iphone??? best bluetooth adapter out there?

So am i crazy or can I not stream music via bluetooth with my iphone. I have connected the bluetooth to take/receive calls, but i cant play music with my iphone 6? It is a 2014 Audi S4 this is driving me insane.

Anyways i have been looking for a bluetooth adapter that I can connect to the ipod adapter in the glove department and cant make up my mind. Any suggestions on which one works well and keeps sound quality up there?

I stream from my iphone 6 to my '14 S4 all the time. You're missing something. I'm working right now, but as soon as I get a chance I'll try to post some suggestions

Are you sure you get 2014 instead of 2013? Coz I believe 2013 doesn't support bt streamig

The car is definitely 2014 unless the dealership lied to me. I tried everything. I've played with the interface for hours there is no bluetooth streaming. As a family we have owned 3 other audis and currently own my S4 and an A7. So my brother and I are familiar with the MMI setup and all. It is a little tricky but ive done it before. I tried and i cant find it. Maybe i am doing something wrong i don't know.

I looked through the manual and there is nothing. I looked through the sound system manual and it only shows bluetooth phone calls no music. It is a manual transmission (i doubt this has anything to do with it) and i bought it used from an audi dealership.

This. Non-navigation S4s do not have bluetooth streaming.

I have a 2013 and iPhone 6s. No troubles streaming.

As a matter of fact, I was streaming with 5s as well

On the MMI controls, click media, then in the media menu select source(top right silver button). You should see BT as an option.
Make sure your phone is set to calls and audio via BT, as well as your streaming app. Hope this helps.

The MMI controls are on the dashboard. ( Im guessing they did this because its a manual transmission). Ive looked in the media- source- and there is no Bluetooth option. I guess my 2014 S4 just doesnt have that option, i think its ridiculous and it blows my mind. For a minute i was thinking the dealership lied about the car being a 2014. Everywhere i checked only 2013 a4/s4 people were complaining. Anyways thanks for the help i guess i have to spend $80 for the adapter. Thanks for the help people.

I just picked up a 2012 S4 and I use the Tune2Air for bluetooth audio. Works perfectly and connects pretty much instantly.
My 13 S5 had bluetooth streaming and I missed that feature on this car. For $71 it was the perfect solution to the problem.

2013 does support BT streaming

You might have Bluetooth audio player turned Off in Settings. I've done this before when I got sick of my iPhone autoplaying music.

Update: Look under Telephone > Settings > Bluetooth in your S4

If your iTunes has no songs in it, Bluetooth streaming will not work. I went through this a while back and found the only difference I had from my 5S to 6S was music in iTunes library. Just out any one song in iTunes and your all set.

OK, before you do ANYTHING else, go to the iTunes store and download the Audi MMI Connect App for you iPhone. Once it's installed, go to "Media Center" and then "Media Center Settings" and make sure "Media Center Preparation" is on. Down below it should show the number of Playable Tracks.

Next, make sure your car has WiFi enabled and your phone is connected to the car's WiFi system. If all that is working, press the Media button on the car and you should see something other than "Not Connected" in the bottom position on the MMI. That's your phone talking to the car over WiFi. You can play your entire iTunes catalog out of that.

Note:

- Voice control is not available.
- The album "flip chart" is not available.

Outside of that, everything else is fine. Album artwork is there, playlists, etc.
