    New S3 1/4 mile record.. GIAC Stage 2..

    So me and my buddies did a track rental today. Rented out Atco raceway in NJ and had good weather and all around great experience whole day. DA was between -200 to -500 throughout the day with temperatures in the mid to upper 50s..

    My S3 is GIAC Stage 2 with Bull X Downpipe, HG FMIC and VWR intake.

    At first arrival to the track I did one pump gas run after a 3 hour drive. That tun was a [email protected]. Just for comparison sake the cars best before on Stage 1 race file running E85/93 Mix the car did a 12.1@114. Basically Stage 1 race file and Stage 2 pump file seem to be making similar power. Which I'm happy with!


    After the pump run I switched to the GIAC Race Map and added MS109 (105 octane). The car was full weight on all runs minus the spare and jack. Stock 18s with stock tires, stock catback, stock rotors etc..

    The car was so super consistent I couldn't have been any happier.

    What excites me is, the new upcoming GIAC DSG software, Stage 2+ ECU software and doing LW Wheels with sticky tires and LW rotors. I think the car has an 11.4-11.6 in it with full weight and street tires. We'll see.

    As of now it's a record, car is running like a champ and I couldn't be more excited with what the future will bring!

    Jeeesus that's quick! Did you run 1/4 mile stock? Last i checked it was low 13s?

    I never ran stock but IIRC they do 13.0-13.3 stock.

    Last i spoke with them they said it wasn't too far out. DSG software and a good wheel/tire setup and i think i'll sneak into the 11.60 range.

    how have you been dude? Ive been crazy busy with work, don't have time for the four much anymore unfortunately :(

    S4 did an 11.4@120. S4 is def a quicker car, but were still in the early stages of the S3 tuning.

    Golf R is a different car. It was not stock hardware either. He has the same mods as me plus he is lighter, had 17" LW wheels with Drag Radials on them and also DSG software.

    This is a record for the S3 platform.

    The Golf R that ran the 11.5@115 had 1.5 60'. He had Downpipe, Intake, FMIC, Stage 2 software and DSG software.

    My S3 did 11.9@115 with a 1.79 60'. I have a downpipe, Intake, FMIC, Stage 2 software and i ran with stock DSG software, stock wheels, stock tires and Darylson weighs 150lbs compared to me I'm 250.

    So the car is lighter, the driver was lighter, the wheels were much lighter, he had sticky drag radials and DSG software. By spring ill have lw wheels, sticky tires, lw rotors and DSG software and will be chasing 11.40s.

    How long have you had stage 2 GIAC - I have Miltek turbo back catless exhaust, Wagner intercooler, ROC Euro CAI etc and have been told that stage2 has not been released!

    4 days lol. I was one of the first flashed Stage 2 cars. I believe they're doing a formal release in a few days

    There is another stage 2 car there that ran 11.952 @ 112.46 with just pump gas and in the summer.

    The MQB record is still held by UM and on pump fuel running a pump fuel map. While its 140lbs lighter and wheels were a bit lighter as well a record is a record.

    Brian ran a similar time on pump gas/map if I remember correctly. I'm sure the competition will be thick come summertime.

    UM car is an R, like I said. 100lb lighter driver, 140lb lighter car, stupid light wheels and sticky tires along with DSG software. It's all in the 60'. Also for UM to trap 115 on pump they are 100% fucking with knock sensitivity. I'll take proper tuning over shortcuts any day.

    You trapped 113 on pump. DA can easy give or take 2 MPH. Not to mention you just said how much lighter the car is.

    excuses. do the same to your car if that is what it takes. there are faster S3s out there that will never make it to these forums.. you are the record holder take all the Audizine titles.

    Not to start a whole new thread here, did OP or anyone who use launch control have issues holding boost? I tried it for the first time tonight and my boost gauge was hopping up and down so I wasn't able to launch at full boost. I made sure ESC and TC were completely off and had the car in dynamic sport.
