Air ride can be tricky. I tell EVERYONE who is doing research and thinking of doing the install. Do it right, DO NOT GO CHEAP!! After all, you are messing with your suspension!
If you do not have the money for the "high end" system. I suggest saving up and doing it right. People who have issues with air usually have skimped on
components, have cut corners on installation or have went the cheap route. If you do this... YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A BAD TIME. Your suspension is a VERY integral part of your vehicle. You do not want to go with a air system if you are not 100% committed on doing it right the first time. I have had plenty of friends who have done this very same thing after my warnings. Only to spend even more money in the end to get the right components.
1) What kit do you have? Accuair E-level Management (with remote) and Air Lift Performance struts/bags
2) Ease of installation? I send all my vehicles into my local Accuair/Airlift vendor for a proper installation. On the off chance you are the DIY type of person, both companies have easy step by step instructions that are very clear to follow.
3) Product Support? 100% Accuair team is always on point, and supportive. It's rare to find a large operation such as Accuair that still has a family vibe, they are really easy to talk to and will go the extra mile to help. Airlift knows everything and anything about your bag setup and how it should operate. They are easily excess able as well.
4) How many miles on setup? Currently on my TTRS around 2,500. But tally up my other builds and it's well over 50k on air ride.
5) Issues experienced? In the past on other builds the only real issue I used to have (and it really wasn't bad) were the Accuair E-level arms. They used to break sometimes, when the suspension took a decent pot hole. The system still functioned when it broke a sensor just the pre-programed ride heights were unavailable. But Accuair has since corrected the problem with their new upgraded stronger arms. And in the TTRS I have yet to have any kind of issue.
6) Maintenance up keep for the duration of miles? Really none. Again, if you spend the money and do it right, there is really no maintenance or upkeep. The only thing I maybe suggest for colder climates is to drain the water. As with any air system condensation will build up. I live in Texas and we don't have may issues with temperatures that really effect the system.
7) Additional info that you find useful? Air ride is absolutely amazing when done right. It affords the driver the luxury of not having to worry about hazardous roads and conditions all while maintaining that dropped look we all enjoy. Not to mention the adjustable ride hight and in most cases saves your car from needing extensive body work due to your drop too low. And for me, that is priceless.
