This may have been covered but I can't seem to find anything on it in searches. Does anyone know the difference between the Osram 66340 or osram 66340hbi? I am replaced a dead bulb in my headlights. I have the D3S bulb and ordered the 66340 but the 66340hbi showed up in the package. Is the hbi a new version? Or The wrong version of what I need?

Looks like HID planet would be a good place to search for more info.

Also, I had no idea what you were talking about, but was curious, so I googled.

I did the same. HID planet gave me a tiny bit of info. The ones I received are supposedly the latest model according to the seller but I cant verify that anywhere. I guess no one uses these things as OEM replacements.

According to the guy at HID Planet the HBI model is the newest version of that bulb and replaces the old one. Not sure if I buy that. He also said it may look bluer but its not, its just the old bulb loses its blue color over time. Not sure I buy that either.
