i have an inherent distrust of shops so i try to do as much work as possible on my own...that being said, my fiancee won't let me touch her mini so i've brought it to TheShopCT a few times to have work done...

This is a bit out of your way but there are a plethora of great VAG shops in MA. If you ever have a major repair or need a ton of work done, I really REALLY recommend SpeedLife Motorsports in Haverhill, MA. These guys eat, sleep, and breath Audi/ VW. They aren't just a shop that does flashes and puts wheels on. They do a ton of engine builds, custom suspension work.... you name it

Fidelis Motorsports in Walpole, Ma is also good

    Thanks Guys,

I do all my own work as well.
I just finished building a motor for my 1.8T and I'm having a real crazy issue with my oil pressure.
I'm trying to swallow my pride and let a professional handle it.
I just want to make sure the right shop gets the car.

Besides TheShopCT that many of my buddies swear by, I have also heard about SST Auto in CT- http://www.speedsporttuning.net/
I think TheShopCT is really a Subby shop, but can do others.

    Thanks

    Just looked them up

They are about 50 min away from me. That's cool though.

I will give them a call as well.
    Thanks again.

Coventry Motorcar in Coventry, CT are great guys and mainly do Audis. Also, though a bit further from you, Budzeck Auto in Norwich, CT specializes in Audi/VW. My dad took his 4.2 A6 there for years.

    Jonan,

Thanks for the suggestion on the sludge, but this is a fresh build which contributes to the scratching head moments that were abundant.
Truth is I spoke with some really cool cats at BNR Motors in Meriden CT.
I read a tread here on Audizine all about 1.8T oiling systems in complete. The thread touched on higher viscosity oils as a means to increase oil pressure
and did not exactly support the idea - just explored it subjectively.

Well, all that to say it was recommended that I take the gamble and swap out my oil with some Valvoline VR1 20w50 Full Syn an some Lucas Oil Stabilizer.
    That was yesterday.....

I have not seen that DAMN oil light since.
Probably the most stressful issue I have ever faced with such a small fix.
    Crazy..!!
