Question on stock amp in a4 b7 non bose

Currently I am using aftermarket head unit and experience low back speakers volume. I understand that installing hi-lo converter will fix it.

Does anybody know how strong the stock amp is? My new radio is 45x4W.

If I was going to bypass stock amp I assume it would be as easy as connecting input with output cables at the amp and no new wiring would have to be ran. Please correct me if Iam wrong.

Would I gain anything from bypassing stock amp for the back speakers? Iam not using stock subwoofer.

Please advice and thank you in advance.

I'm not sure how strong the stock amp but you have to look at RMS not peak for the radio. For most people I'd say no because the Sub is powered by the amp. But if you already have an aftermarket sub this might be a good choice for you. The answer depends on the power of the factory amp and the true RMS wattage of the radio.

Christian thank you for you response. What would be the fastest way to bypass the amp? I was unable to find any diy.

No quick way. You have to find a diagram and trace the wires.

you will need to run 2 sets of speaker cables from the radio to the stock amp, this way you can by-pass the amp

Luis why would I need to run new set of wires from the radio to the amp and not use existing wiring? Just wondering and thanks in advance.

The signal wires going to the amp are too thin to power speakers.
