    Driver seat side bolster creak

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have an 2013 A4 P+, 35K miles, with sport seats. When cornering or shifting weight the driver seat left side bolster (next to door) makes a lot of creaking and cracking noises. Dealer "tightened up some bolts" but the problem was not resolved and seems to be getting worse. Is there any way to tighten up the interior bits of the seat bolster (not the extendable thigh, but the one under your left thigh) to keep it from creaking? It may even be the seat riser mechanism on that side having some give, or something like that. It's not a major problem but annoying in such a quiet car.

    Thanks!

Have you tried conditioning the leather? I recommend Zaino Z9 and Z10.

It's definitely not a conditioning issue - the noise comes from inside or under the seat structure. I've been using Griot's leather conditioner recently but do want to try Zaino at some point.

To fix it you have to locate the exact source of the noise.

It could be inside the seat, the mechanism under the seat, or the plastic trim on the side.
