    B7 A4 to RS4 conversion (front bumper)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Just curious, Ive researched and it seems that when one wants to convert to a front RS4 bumper its best to also get the RS4 fender flares for proper fitment. With that being said, just curious if anyone has an experience with any of the RS4 bumpers off Ebay...a few have claimed they will fit without fender flares, so just wondering if thats correct or not. Also, I know there are other options such as DTM and a few others, just looking for the best option without breaking my bank. And a random side question, can someone please tell me how to tell which front bumper I currently have lol. I think its the s-line front bumper with an RS style grille but I cant really differentiate from other bumpers on the forum and ones Ive looked at. Thank you.

The only non-OEM option I'd consider is the Deval RS4 Bumper- it's an RS4 replica made for narrow body.

Will a DTM front bumper fit a narrow body? Previous owner broke the bumper mounts, so Im looking to buy a new front bumper. Just looking into all the options.

Awesome and thank you for the help everyone! Also looking for a DTM carbon fiber rear spoiler, can anyone point me in the right direction?

The Deval seems to have such bad fitment issues where the bumper and hood line up, the angles are off. I'd rather fork over money for a true DTM or just stay S Line.

Thanks for the heads up brandon...I have been thinking just doing an s-line with RS grille based on fitment and cost.

Does anyone know of a distributor for DTM carbon fiber rear spoiler or just search forums or Ebay?

Go with the Deval RS4 front bumper. It's not a 100% OEM fit but it's made of the same ABS plastic material, my friend's looked really good. I'll attach a link and pictures once I get back on my laptop

A member on here just got an eBay one that looks practically identical. I'll find it and post pictures and a link to his thread as well

But honestly if you're looking for a more aggressive look that won't break your bank, I'd go with a Cupra R lip, auto dip it gloss black, eBay RS grille (or follow Noel's full RS grille DIY with eBay parts) and new headlights. Either OEM Bi-Xenons, retrofitted Miromoto Projectors or those new Xenarc headlights that came out. It'll look great

You're gonna need a DTM rep spoileri for a non-s line trunk. The trunks are different and since you are not s line you need non s line of course.

I'm sure each example will vary a bit fitment-wise, but my friend's fit more than acceptably, and I am picky. I do like that the DTM is guaranteed to give 100% OEM fitment, but in my opinion the RS 4 looks so much better that a slight sacrifice in fitment would still be worth it.

I don't care which direction the O.P. goes, as long as it's away from the non s-line lol

I'll look forward to the pics mpv and once again thank you everyone for all of your input!

In regards to the rear spoiler and non s-line trunk Ive seen that the aero function (similar to the DTM carbon rear spoiler) supposedly fits the non s-line trunk...is this true?

There are a few which DO look good, but it may result in install as well and how you align the bumper. I just can't help but notice in every photo its not an OEM quality bumper lol. Idk what it is. It does look good from a distance though.

This is my spoiler, this is a pic from the previous owner since I do not have a good photo on my work computer, but this is on an S Line trunk. According to his posts it was carbon as well but paint matched.

I was in the same situation with my fiancιs A4. Just did the Cupra Lip this last weekend. I taped it up where I wanted it using masking tape and then used about 30 sheet metal "zip-in" screws to attach it. Easy 30min install... huge improvement. No need for a new bumper. Now I just need to find her some wheels.

Thanks again everyone. I'll def post pics in a few months once I figure out which route Im going for sure. If I can find a bumper that Im happy with and doesnt break my bank then I'll def do a bumper, if not I'll stick to HID's, door blades and rear spoiler because Im still planning on wheels and coilovers early next year. Gotta make my daily look fresh lol.

I had never seen a US 3.2 with those wheels, I thought they were only part of the 3.2L package in Canada. I just learned something new.

I'm just curious, US or Canadian car? For the thread subject I would go Deval or DTM

    Back to Thread....
Also to get the updated RS feel I removed and painted the front and rear reflector side markers with Dupi-color Spray paint and clear coat.

Care to post some picture of the ends of both sides of the lip? And the front to see how much you trimmed off .

I feel like I put my lip a little off on the edge (too far forward ) now scared if I move it back there will b an obvious screw whole :(

The only trimming I did was the front middle two vertical posts, no trimming to the sides. The sides go flush to the wheel well. I'll add some pics this afternoon.
