    Electric fan conversion belt length

My fan arrived the other day. I will be putting it on this weekend. I was wondering what length serpentine belt I need when I take the mechanical fan/clutch/pulley assembly off? I searched and didn't see any measurements. Thanks in advance.

I think you be alright with the stock 1856. Its ac delete that needs the shorter belt.
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

Wow, it doesn't have much belt wrap at all. You'd think it would slip all over the place when the clutch kicks in.

I have the jhm efk kit and didn't need a single other thing, stock belt works just fine. However I did purchase the hayden digital pwm fan relay - hayden offers it and I found it on ebay or slamazon for a pretty good price. allows for temperature adjustment and soft starts and other features. Works great in socal heat so far - knock on wood-

like the others said stock belt, leave the pulley on otherwise you will have to cover the timing belt, and just take the clutch fan off of the pulley.
Never argue with an idiot, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Ditto on the stock belt. No issues. As zilla pointed out though if you are going AC delete will need a different belt. There is a thread somewhere addressing this.

This is stock belt. Belt will be the same, but some other things in the pic will be a little different

I might still have the template I made for the cover. Might be able to scan it if you want.

Why not just use the fan pulley?
