Car gets much louder in the rain/wet roads.

About a month ago my car started getting extremely loud when it is raining or roads are quite wet. Usually takes into affect after 5 minutes of driving. I've gone under the car and looking for visible leaks and cant find anything. Also seems to be slacking on power a bit. I'm completely stumped on what it could be and I've called a few shops but they are requesting a full engine diagnostic, so I decided to go to you guys first cause you usually can figure it all out. Doesn't happen when its dry out, inside the cabin of the car it is much deeper and vibrates the whole car and when it is revving down it has a loud pops that are actually painful to my ears. Somebody must know what it is or have also had this problem

louder when it rains, or when you put your windows up (changes cabin resonance)? could be an exhaust leak. Any codes or lights? if so scan and post them. Not enough info to help yet but you could try a simple boost leak to test for leaks, that may cause the popping noise your hearing, caused by a lean condition.
Never argue with an idiot, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

But why would it only happen in the rain? In the dry it sounds completely normal and how it always has. Doesn't matter if windows are up or down it is the same sound with nearly the same loudness. No lights have come up. Drives the exact same as when I got it, just rain makes something go funky.

my thoughts on the window was if you never realized that it was with windows up because most put their windows up in the rain, just a guess on that one. If you get a chance try it on dirt while its raining, the only thought I have is it could be your tires, some make some terrible road noise when worn down and the terrain changes.

A video would be helpful. Maybe your ecu box is cracked and the moisture is causing the ecu to run rich causing backfires and making your car shake.

I've tried that and it's for sure not a tire issue. It's something with the exhaust and turbo I believe. Spooling is much louder, and lower gears are also much louder. Seems to mellow out around 5th gear until I push more than 5psi then it seems to lag and continue on with the sound

My car does the exact same thing when it rains. I have the APR Stealth Exhaust and it doesn't exactly fit together perfectly from the downpipe to center resonator. It has a teeny tiny hole that allows water into the resonator. Once you get water in there it is SO LOUD. Lucky for me it hasn't been raining here. I was going to have it welded up but in light of recent events I'll be pulling the entire motor anyway.

tl;dr You have an exhaust leak.

I had a Stromung exhaust on my urs6 with test pipe and it got louder when it rained or roads where wet, found that the hot stainless steel exhaust would expand a little when wet and resonate more. If you have aftermarket exhaust it could be it? Check again for tight clearance areas, near the cross member perhaps.
