    Lifetime fuel filter???

    Hi Guys

I was trying to get Audi to replace the fuel filter at 45,000km service but Audi Centre Sydney insist that fuel filter for my S7 is lifetime (No need to replace) and if you change it, you may brake the fuel pump.....

I kind of skeptical so if anyone knows more info please chime in.

    Thank you

I believe that is correct. AFIK there is no mention of replacing the fuel filter in the maintenance schedule for the A or S C7 models.

Unless it's a TDI, then yes.

Thanks for the info guys, now I feel better was wondering if guys from Audi are drunk or not.
I always fill decent quality fuel BP/Shell Vpower 93aki/98RON so should be fine for now.

    Good to know.

Fuel filter now part of the pump, sounds like designed to be costly when one or the other needs replacing.

Maybe having it next to the pump adds benefit in detecting contaminants and or higher pressure when needed but in any case sounds like another thing that gets closed up for the end user to replace.
