Go to ecstuning.com and get OEM parts, find some indy shop and replace it.

ECS tuning for the parts. Half the price of the dealer's. Unless you go OEM. I didn't.

And why do you have to change the rotors? How many miles on them?

I think OEM on ECS are not even $200 for front. I know Brembo are around $150.

rockauto has decent prices plus you can find a 5% code, I plan on buying some Z17 PowerStop pads, I have Z23 on my A4 but I have slotted/cross rotors.

You're lucky. My local dealer wanted 2700. I had an indy do it for 1600. All 4 rotors, pads, and sensors.

For normal street driving, ceramic pads are ok, and the best thing about them is that they produce less dust.

I just added a Q7 to my fleet =P Wife seems to be pretty happy although she did want a white one.

Ultimately, i wanted a TDI but couldnt find THE one and I didnt want to spend 30k+ right now as we are in the Market for a home.

After doing some research on which model my WIFE needs based on wants vs. needs I decided to get a 3.6 sline. I know I know... I wanted the 4.2 or TDI but couldnt find THE right one.
However, I did find this gem locally and at a good deal. My wife doesnt need a fast suv to drive the kids to school lol I have a b6s4, b6a4, e90328 so im pretty content. the next car will be a porsche 911 =P or something 2 seater

    2008 Q7 3.6 Sline
w/86k on the clock. previous owner bought it as a CPO by Audi and maintenance records looks pretty good. He was asking 19k but after inspecting the car i got him down to 17k cash due to tires and brakes needing to be replaced.

Any suggestions on preventive maintenance as a new owner of a Q7? Im about to order new rotors, pads and ss lines...

zimmerman is a very good aftermarket option and zinc coated to mitigate rusting on the hubs/hats unlike the oem rotors which look 10 years old after 10 miles.

These are Adams rotors with stoptech pads. I think I paid around $750 all in and did the install myself. VERY happy with both the look and performance!

Totally agree with the Zimmerman. That and OEM pads and sensors from genuineaudiparts.com. Self install -about a three on a scale of ten. Been happy with that combo since 2013.

Wish Zimmerman provided drilled as an option. Anyone know if Brembo pmrivides a cross drilled option that fits OEM and not a big brake package?
