Wait, really? So no 6MT can be Stage 2+? That is retarded.

It is cooling and/or DPs...at least I thought.

I do not think it is a DSG tune. I thought there was no difference. Really people put 2+ when they have more then just a tune and intake pulley. I guess I should take the + off my sig, I never knew the difference, but I do know people were saying 2+ before there was DSG tunes.

The transmission should have nothing to do with it. It should be what impacts performance of the power output over the rev band.

    Stage 1 - Tune
Stage 2 - Tune and pulley
    Stage 2+ - Add cooling and/or headers
    Stage 3 - New blower
Stage 3+ - New blower plus cooling and/or headers

I would guess it requires any additional performance mods like an upgraded Cooling System for the Charger or Downpipes. Maybe exhaust or Intake could be considered - although I would think that would be stage 1+ or even part of Stage 1..........

how does adding DP's have anything to do with power?

I mean high flow cats or removing them all together so I guess that is headers for us. I was thinking more from the B5 where piggies (removing the precats) or DPs was Stage 2+. In my head the "DPs" that come with most B8 exhausts don't have cats so that is till part of a "cat-back" exhaust.

Now the question is where does Intake and/or Exhaust fit into the mix? Stage 1+? or required for Stage2+?

Supposedly Intake wil give you a performance gain, but Exhaust is almost 100% just sound - but at some point Exhaust is required right?

Stage 2+ is the extra stuff helping to aid your Stage 2 perform better. I have a Stage 2....PLUS extra cooling, intake, and exhaust.

It means what ever you want. "Stages" are completely arbitrary.

    Lots of misinformation here.

Stage 2 and Stage 2+ are the same thing.

APR originally called the software/pulley upgrade "Stage 2+", but has now reverted to calling it stage 2 in most of their posts and marketing material. The "+" was pointless.

This. Different tuners have used different nomenclature that is pretty arbitrary. APR called in stage 2+, Revo called it 1+, GIAC called it stage 2, APR now calls it stage 2....

As a general definition, stage 1 is a tune with no pulley upgrade, stage 2 is a tune with a pulley upgrade, and stage 3 is a tune with supercharger upgrade.

A lot of times the "+" was used to indicate additional modifications at each particular level. Headers/test pipes would maybe account for that change (cooling, exhaust, intake would not in my book, but hey, that's up to you since it's so arbitrary to begin with).

I believe the "+" indicates that not only do you have an expensive car and tune, but you've put an additional buttload of money into it as well.

Since it's arbitrary, my vote is that + denotes the presence of an RS grill. You know... more airflow than stock grill...
