    A4 Alarm siren

Hi all, a new member and an Audi owner, hopefully someone can help me out.
The B8 Avant 2.0 TFSI quattro I've just acquired seems to be missing the factory alarm, which is required by my insurance.
I checked via VCDS - all anti-theft options are disabled, the siren and sensors are not there, obviously.

If I try to enable the anti-theft alarm option, I get an error logged - no communication to siren (can't remember the exact message, but you get the idea). That's when I open the door and the alarm is supposed to sound after 15s (set in the adaptation) if the immobilizer key is not inserted. This makes me think the basic alarm is there, it's just the siren missing. I don't need ultrasound interior sensors or the inclination sensors, just need a basic alarm if the door is opened.

Found quite a few how-to's on VW forums for adding the siren, which seems to be the same as Audi, but their modules are not the same.

Could someone share a wiring diagram or details for module 46 (convenience) and alarm siren wiring? I assume if I get the siren and wire the 3 pins properly (+, gnd and comm) to module 46 it should work just fine.

Unfortunately I've already seen this one, it's on installing the sensors and buttons, but not the siren itself...

Tineo, really appreciate your help, was able to connect the siren in the trunk to the convenience module.

However that did not help me with the alarm, even though I enabled the required options via VCDS. Here's how it works now:
When I lock the car with the remote or the key, the alarm chirps once and the doors lock. Push the unlock button on they remote or turn the key in the driver's door - the door unlocks, the alarm chirps twice.

Is this how it is supposed to work? Am I missing some settings here? Here's an option in the adaptation in VCDS, according to the description the alarm should sound after the timeout value (in this case 15 seconds) if the door is opened but no immobilizer key is inserted. Now the door of course can't tell if I'm the driver who unlocked the door with the key or some burglar who used a screwdriver to unlock the door. That's why my insurance needs the key to unlock the door, but NOT disable the alarm.

Does this option simply disable the internal ultrasound sensors for the preset period if you unlock the door with your key? Could someone with the sensors check how it works on their car please?

Anyone with the factory alarm? Could you please test what happens when you unlock the car with your key?

On the US models just using the key will open the doors and no alarms go off.

Thanks, seems to be the same on the EU models, need to figure out how to change this (if possible) via VCDS.

Just a follow-up, in case someone is looking for similar information and stumbles on this topic.

I've added the factory alarm siren and ultrasound sensors, using the audienthusiasts and the Spanish guides. I haven't added the buttons to disable the inclination or interior sensors though.

Everything works just fine after proper settings via vag-com, I've posted the required ones above.

The option to NOT disable the alarm by unlocking the driver's door with a key is also there, configurable via vag-com:
