Looking at a 2006 A4 1.6 ALZ engine, how is these engines?

Looking for a cheap car for my daughter, a friend of mine sell a 2006 Avant B7 A4 with very much equipment.

Get it real cheap, the car feels nice, have checked it and it loooks ok.

It's hear first car, just got the license so i think this will do, she did like it good aswell.

But i don't know anything about this 1.6 8v engine? 102BHP i think..
I know it's not fast, don't need to be fast either, but is they any good or just crap?
Tried to google abit, but could not find very much out of it..

Hopefully someone with experience abroad can give you some insight. Most of the active members are from the States so that may limit some of the responses since the 1.6 was not brought to the US. Best of luck. May want to try to cross post to the regional sections that received that particular engine.
