Nardo Grey S4

It's been a while, still have my good ol' B8 S4. I try to stop in and share a project from time to time. Here we used Nardo Grey as an inspiration for this dip. Still peelable, still DIY.

i saw a real nardo grey car at my dealer, it was a s7, it was a gross color. I asked dealer if they had ordered it, and was told AUDI made them take it. They called it battleship grey. It is really gross in person. Theywill have that car for a very long time,good thing yours is a wrap.

It's not for everyone. My dealer had a Nardo Grey RS5 cabrio on the showroom floor and I really liked it. It's a bold color that isn't as brash as something like Glut Orange or even Volcano Red.

I highly doubt that. It's a love or hate color and someone who loves it will scoop that car up quickly.

Exactly...for me, in a RS7, that's the ONLY color I would consider.

It looks very odd on the B8... I think I could only deal with it on the RS7.

The owner of that car needs to J-code those headlights. That made my car look 10000x better after I did it. It will mesh nicer with this car.

I'm not into the Nardo Gray look, but I am impressed with the gloss finish. Does it feel just as rubbery/soft as standard p-dip or does it form a smoother, harder outer shell? I could see dipping my car a different color if it turned out like that...

The color is interesting for sure. I could definitely see it as a permanent color for something unique like an RS6 Avant for example. For the S4, I think it works - but I'm glad I can peel it off and do something totally different when I'm ready to.

Question, I was going to order a DYC kit for my wheels and then matching color to paint my s4's front lip. Do audizine members get any kind of discount or anything when ordering (couldn't hurt to ask...)

Nope not necessary.

I like it, but it looks too close to other stock colors. If I were to dip it would be exotic, but I realize your cars chance colors twice a day so why not hah.

it's meant to be close to the stock color, for all the Audi owners who want to rock Nardo for a bit this is perfect. i'm living out all my color dreams lol.

400-450 for a full kit to spray it nardo? I'm assuming that's without the products for spraying down a gunmetal PDS right? I have a brilliant black b5 and wondering if from your experience, would laying down on top of it get the nardo because this looks great! I'm leaning towards wrapping it but didn't know you had a nardo mix and a video with pics alongside it.

you would need the Gunmetal dip base to get this same shade. you can't spray Top Coat directly over factory paint anyway, needs a dip base. but that same mix over black would just be a darker gray. but yea the gunmetal base is pretty easy to put down and has great coverage will easily cover the black paint,.

Every shop is going to have different standard for pricing. No two shops use the same pricing schedule - so it's tough for me to throw a number out there.
