What is AdBlue and how to topup on Audi A4 B8 TDI

I have an Audi A4 TDI B8 (2010), I bought this a year ago.
I just noticed about refilling AdBlue in the service book, It says it needs topping up once in 4yrs. On Audi website I found it needs topup for every 10k miles. I did more than 10k since i bought it, but no warning light yet but I want to check and top it up if required. However I found very little info about AdBlue on forums. why it is talked about very little? Can someone please help me how to check the level or where can I find more info on AdBlue for Audi A4 2010 TDI.

You won't find much in the A4 forum about adblue because we don't get TDI A4s in the US.

A 2010 should not have the AdBlue system. If it does, the filler cap is locate beside the diesel filler cap.

Thx for your replies, I live in London. The user manual says all TDIs have it. And there is no extra cap next to fuel cap. I might have to go to the dealer to confirm.

If there is not extra cap, then you don't have it unless you got a special UK edition TDI where the cap is located somewhere else. In the rest of Europe, AdBlue was introduced to Audi with the new 2.0tdi "ultra" 190hp engines. You can expect the tank to last around 15 - 30 000km depending on how you drive.
