Just curious which wheels are NOT made in China? Preferably made in Germany/EU or US?

If you are worried about quality just stay away from replica wheels. Even German replicas will still be crap.

Almost all cast rep wheels are Chinese made. And there is nothing wrong with them. Just so they meet all the coding standards. Rotiform, 3sdm, stracing, fifteen52, ect. All made in China. German made cast wheels are hard to come by. Bbs and Neuspeed are the only two that come to mind.

Replication (rep) wheels is kinda a thing of the past. Most companies that make Chinese cast wheels use there own mold and design, and really don't "replicate" anyone's patterns anymore. Forged wheels are stronger and lighter. I've owned many rep wheels and real bbs wheels and I'm yet to bend either. And don't kid yourself, bbs wheels are no lighter than other cast wheels.

Some BBS wheels are made in Japan under license to BBS, e.g., RGR and RS-GTs, which are both forged.

I have Hartmann "replicas" which are made in Germany by the same factory as Techart and Brabus.

Over the years I've owned wheels from many major aftermarket names - BBS, OZ, Forgeline, CCW, Fikse, etc... as far as cast wheels go, the Hartmanns are as good as OEM or any other brand in my opinion.

Not all Neuspeed are made in Japan. But nonetheless all of them are high quality. Have a set of RSe10's on my S3 that now has 27k on it and they are just fine

Thanks for the responses. I just have a personal "don't buy made in china" for many reasons that I prefer not sharing at the moment. It's difficult for sure though. For instance, I still haven't found an all metal coffee travel mug that's not made in china. Picked up a porcelain Audi Sport travel mug in Ingolstadt that works for now lol.

If I go replacement, it won't be reps. I already have OEM RS4 reps on now lol.

Most U.S. based custom forged wheel companies manufacture here (HRE, ADV, Forgeline, RSV, iSS, DPE, etc.). BC Forged wheels are made in Taiwan if that counts.... They are probably the best deal going on custom forged wheels.

All the higher end Japanese wheels are made in Japan. Rays/Volk, Advan, Enkei Racing, some BBS forged wheels, etc. Regular BBS wheels are made in Germany, and I think OZ wheels are made in Italy.

    not true ;)

most US-based custom wheel companies use the same lips, barrels, and center sections from the same handful of manufacturers. some use chinese-made parts. most brands are made out of a couple shops.

I think he probably meant their cast wheels which seem to be more popular.

Yes, that's what I responded to. I'm one of the owners of fifteen52 (as well as the engineering and design lead for products).

So fifteen 52 cast wheels not made in China? Where made? That is a good thing! Always loved your wheels. And I'm sorry to put wrong info up on there. 🏻🏻

I've seen enough replica wheels blow apart randomly, I'll never buy a set. Also there are still plenty of manufacturers that copy larger companies designs, they modify them slightly but look almost identical, thus earning the title replica wheel.

Ironically the most famous replica company Rota, tells people to not be fooled into buying replica wheels. Its hilarious because all they do is copy designs from other companies that make a higher quality product.

Our cast wheels are made in Taiwan, but our forged wheels are all made and assembled in the USA.
