    Q7 Wheels - Change 21" to 20"

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Can you seamlessly switch out 21" wheels for 20" wheels on a 2015 Q7 with off-road package or do you have to make some adjustments? I'm trying to get away fro $500 tires for the 21" wheels.

    Please advise.

    thx.

What's the "off road package"? Is that something they offer in North America spec cars?

Yes, it is on US models. Nonetheless, has anyone switched out 21" wheels for 20" wheels without any issues?

    thx.

Well over here in the UK I know it's done straightforwardly. I know guys who regularly switch between 21"s for summer and 20"s on the winter.

I have done it with no problems. Q7 came with 21" peelers with summer tires and I used 20" VMR wheels for my winter set-up with Yoko Parada Spec X all seasons.

I just swapped out my stock 21" for a set of 20x9.5 et20 Forgestar F14 rims and 275/45r20 Yokohama pradas. They look so much better than the stock 21 inch rims. They now sit flush with the fenders and there is so much more backspacing from all the suspension components that you could probably go with a 285/50r20 if you wanted to, plus the ride is night and day compaired to the stock 295/35r21 tires, much more smoother and quieter. I just couldn't justify spending almost 2k on 21" tires every 10k.

I just did the switch. You can change with no issues. I was burning through tires every 8k miles. Dealer wouldn't warranty them anymore, so I went with 20" bbs wheels.

From what I know in North America it's more a niche order. I've never seen one.

I swapped the 21's for 22's with a more aggressive offset- 22" AS Tires were $114 each on Tirerack. :) Best of both worlds. Form and Function.

You're right they are rare, here are a couple in the wild. Second link even has the window sticker listing the off-road package features.

The Offroad package was available in canada for the 2015 q7's, it came with 21" 5-arm rotor wheels, side door and wheel mouldings front spoiler and a different rear bumper. It was $4k worth on top of the Vorsprung package.

I'm looking to get 20's or 19's as winters. Can anyone let me know what the factory offset and bolt pattern are? Would the offset be the same whether I get the 19's or 20's? I love the look of the ET25 above but was wondering if would work on a stock 2012 prestige without issues.
