    Trying to force limp mode?

    How's it going everyone,

I've got myself a 2004 Allroad, 2.7T with the 5 Tip. My torque converter has recently decided to blow up, so I've decided to go ahead and do a 6MT swap. Which is wonderful.

In the meantime, I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to force the car into 'limp mode' for the time being. Whether there's a fuse to pull for the TCM, or if pulling the TCM all together would work, etc. I got the car to limp, but I had to rev until it decided to bang into it. I'm trying to avoid having to do that every time I need to move the car. If anyone has ANY advice (besides "take it to a shop!") It would be greatly appreciated.

Its a turbo so I bet if you unplug the MAP (not MAF) sensor, which means the car has no idea what the boost pressure is, you will get limp mode.

Just pull the MAF plug, that'll do it.
Also- from my experience - when you're in limp mode it will slam into gear pretty much all the time. It sucks. No TIP mode and pretty much stays in 3rd gear.

The lack of tip is the least of my worries hahaha, I actually really dislike it which is why I'm happy about swapping to the 6. And yes, going from park to drive is a little rough, but not as rough as it catching a gear at 6K RPM

Try unplugging the n75 valve, that should guarantee WG cracking pressure. Either that or create a massive boost leak by loosening your TBB
