    Hi All,
I have Audi A4 B8 1.8 TFSI 2009 with GIAC STAGE1‎‏ and for quite some time as I drove the car,
overtime the gearbox started to jerk (Stutters) when changing gears especially when starting to drive (when the vehicle is still cold) and it feels that the car is lose a lot of power
and also i see that some time at the beginning of driving the car start in second gear instead of first gear.
I wanted to ask if my problem may be related to the gearbox oil? or is it a different problem?

    Thanks!

    Moshe.

The mutitronic CVT gearbox has always been plagued with problems as they age, moreso when people chip them to higher torque levels.

Its time for dynamic oilchange, soft update and new adaption. Hopefully no real damage yet inside. As per reading, some specialists does not recommend add more torque for those gearbox then 65nm max, you probably got +100nm?, but all i was writing is cheaper then start repair gearbox. Check tech section there is thread not long time ago, you can make new adaption first and see what will be result. Just to test, especialy tuned multitronics keep loosing adaption with time. Latest soft for your car should be H12, you can check this with cable if you have, if you still have factory version it was faulty anyway.

    Thanks a lot Gunnark100 !
The previous owner chip the car so i do not really know how much nm i have now, i called the company that updated chip and thay told my, before the chip the car have120HP and after around 200+HP (chip GIAC http://www.giacusa.com/products/soft...hassis=A4_%AE) It does not feel like 200HP.
I don't have cable to check the version you said, can you please explain more wht you mean "soft update and new adaption" and should i start with changing the gear oil?
    Thank.

Lots of things. Seriously. I could go on and on spit balling on your issue. But no one here is going to give you a 5 minute fix. If you aren't willing or able to get under that car, take it somewhere.
