Supercharger, BBK, coilovers, and exhaust. Would have to believe lighter wider wheels and better tires.

I'll echo what many on AZ have confirmed. AWE touring exhaust sounds FANTASTIC without being overbearing as a DD. This paired with intake (such as S-FLO) and lightweight wheels/rotors will make a difference in performance. I think it is noticeable, but some will disagree. Unfortunately, there is only so much you can do to a NA engine. I'm about to install SS brake lines and ATE super blue fluid (with EBC yellowstuff pads) for my upcoming track day. The pads will be swapped out for OEM before each track event. Not sure if you are looking at tracking your car. Looking at Alu Kreuz and Bilstein coilovers as my next mod; suspension stands to be improved somewhat as I have read, not to mention to the high-ride 4x4 look that comes from the factory. Many folks do the H&R OE springs with spacers (10/15mm for front/rear if not more) but I think I might like the adjustability. Hope this helps!

If you have ADS, I'd suggest taking a look at KW height adjustable springs (HAS). They allow you to retain the ADS controls while also having the ability to raise and lower your car. I have them and they work great.

Yes I do have ADS & I really want to keep it so I was looking at this setup the other day. They do look like a good option.

The AWE does sound great but here in the UK it's like £1800 compared to the Miltek at £700. I know about the droning issue on the miltek but I don't do motorway driving & I think I could put up with it for the price difference. To be fair the Miltek's sound pretty awesome also.

I'd say exhaust would be the most satisfying first mod. V8 has the sexiness sound!

Intakes would also be nice and improve sound as well. Both should give some gains after a tune as well...

    RS5 Grille

(Since you said apart from wheels and suspension)

In the order I got them:

Borla Exhuast, "Touring" loud, even less drone than stock, and only 800 bucks
    RS5 Style Grill
LED all things (dome, license, glovebox, etc)
    Brake Pads
E-code headlights - surprised no one said this already! :)
    Wheels/tires

Got OE springs and a strut tower brace waiting to go on.
Next will be a better Pioneer sub than the B&O

Exhaust! Seriously any exhaust. AWE, Meisterschaft, Borla, Capristo...whatever. Maybe I just couldn't take how quiet my 4.2L was though. I just put the ARMYTRIX System on mine, it is more expensive though. The grill swap isn't to expensive and really makes the front end look sharp so that could be worth your while. Next up will be the ENLAES Diffuser. then maybe a tune or Wheels and Tires. Was looking into the Bilstein B16 RideControl Coilovers. E-Codes also clean up the front end but my understanding is their pretty pricey.

Interested in the START Button upgrade. Mines peeling chrome, got a clear piece of vinyl over it, looks like a$$. What did you do?
And what did you upgrade the B&O sub with? That will be my next mod, well that and some sound deadening around it.

Yes I'd like to know about the start button as well. I've looked and don't see really any options. I'd actually like one similar to the facia on a S2000. Not plactic in all, just red.

Click the link to my mod thread below....since I did 2 years of mods in the first couple of months, the thread isn't that long. ;)

start button was my first mod. Partially because I wanted the red ring and also because the original one was delaminating.

Exhaust is the most satisfying (AWE track exhasut with stock downpipes).

And as mentioned above...all the little things like LED lighting, ecodes, euro tail lights, grocery bag hooks and nets for the trunk.
2009 S5 in Bottle Green / 20x10.5 BBS CH-R in satin black (check with Mops) / AWE Tuning Track Exhaust (Mops again!) / H&R Street Coilovers (Mops...again) / Ecodes (ECS Tuning) / Rear LED retrofit (Europrice) / RS5 blackout grill (MrCarCar)

Haven't done either upgrade yet, but both are on the list.

For the START button, it's a simple plug and play swap. Info here. http://www.a5oc.com/forums/a5-s5-top...rt-button.html

For the B&O sub upgrade, there is a guy here on the forums who is/was taking orders for a custom 10'' subwoofer cubby box. Info here. http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...Cubby-Box-(B8)

I saw the posts about the button and I like the red surround, but are there any where the button itself is red? Does the metal part come off so I could paint it myself? I'd do the entire button, but i still want to see the punched out words.

Supercharger is really where the difference is at.

I did coilovers and BBK, exhaust etc, but obviously the biggest difference is in the charger. You can also enable ADS via vagcom which when in dynamic changes throttle response significantly.
