I know that even the G wagon now has it but still I cant take it. I may still wait for the S4 to come out. I wonder if it would be possible to have the screen to go down if you did some custom work.... hmmm

I never hated it, and I find myself continuing to like it more and more. That interior, which initially gave me overwhelming BMW overtones (and still does), is fantastic.
I'm still a little iffy on the tail-lights. The rounder-in-whole shape of the front and rear end also leave me a little bit underwhelmed. They sharpened lines and features with more angular cuts, but it feels to me like the front and rear end body panels as a whole were rounded off, which softens the overall profile of the car. Maybe it's just how it comes across in all the pictures I've seen.

I do hate the iPad Nev Screen. It's the very first reason I checked the Mercedes CLA off my list when I was car shopping. It looked and felt cheap, tacky, and low quality. But it seems like the trend is here to stay and, if anything, expand into more and more brands and models. We're just going to have to learn to love it.

I've said it before but I love, love, love the virtual cockpit. If there was a way for me to retrofit that into my B8.5 I would jump at the first chance.

I don't love the cup-holder placement, but then again, I don't love it on the B8 either. I can't think of an easy or better solution for them in either case so another thing we'll just have to learn to love.

I like the movement of the side mirrors to the doors. To this day, the placement of the mirrors on the B8 still present blind spots to me that shouldn't be there.

443 lbs of torque in the v6 diesel..... Crazy!!!!...
Nice to see hankook evo1 summer tires from factory, also looks like a pretty decent 4 piston caliper, possibly Brembo made.. Let's hope this gets to the states...

252 hp stock for the 2.0?

Are we finally looking at 300whp + on stage 2 with e85?

I'm starting to like the exterior looks, looks more aggressive than prior generations

For me, there is nothing that warrants a pick up of this car. I'd rather wait for the new S4 or RS4 Sedan than pick up this A4. B8/8.5 still looks the best to me.

Close that now with current b8.5 flex engine.... I do not think new b9 engine will be e85 capable.. It looks to be going back to plastic intake manifold., our old engines may not be as powerful stock... But may be better due to the flexfuel capabilities

I keep meaning to get mine dyno'd but I keep putting it off. I'm confident I'm at 300.

EDIT: I should note that as long as APR's AWHP figures are accurate, I'm confident.

I want to dyno mine but don't want to get my heart broken by different numbers on paper from the ones I have on my mind lmao

Also I hate the new trend with BMW, Audi, and Mercedes of making it seem like there's a tablet on the dash. Doesn't flow naturally and seems as if they got lazy in the design.

I refuse to buy it because of that screen.

AND the only benefit to the exterior was the dual exhaust which they also seems to have deleted.

    And the front.

The interior (minus the screen) looks a lot like an A6/7, which I like, and the exterior is fine although I still prefer my car. Could be bias or it could be the new design, only time will tell. The thing that kills it for me is the fucking screen that won't retract... I realize that this may be an inevitability but I'm going to hold out on buying a car with a permanently stuck on screen for as long as possible. I'd be more likely to purchase an A/S3 just because that screen annoys me so much.

What the hell were they thinking. Didn't they ask a focus group or something.
That screen is a freaken disaster.

Increase the size of that screen by 50% and then tell me the car runs on water.... I'd say NOPE

Ya, they didn't do any market research and hired a homeless dude off the street to do the design. I'm sure that's it.

He wasn't homeless, he was an autozone assistant manager. He actually suggested putting a Hemi in it. Audi decided against it, but loved his mounted iPad idea.

But before he went forward with the mounted Ipad Idea he needed to know, Automatic or manual trans?

I think we as audizine members need to comment on every single review that the screen is a mistake.

I'm sure every single component company is working on a mod to remove that screen lol

Who cares about the screen being permanently mounted? Every time I get an A6 loaner, the screen never goes down. If you're saying you won't buy one because of the screen, let's face it you're not gonna buy one right away because you probably can't afford it. But I guarantee you'll get over it by 2019 when You can get a good deal on a used model.

BS. There is a button to the right of the dash on the A6 which you can push to retract the screen if you do not need to use it.

Next time, get your facts straight.

I didn't say it couldn't be retracted. I said I never chose to do it. Because THERES NO POINT! Read the comment before you jump to conclusions.

    Easy, Boss.
I'm reading that as when he gets an A6 loaner, he leaves the screen up by choice. Why put it down?
Unless you are parked, why would you put the screen down? I'm constantly using my screen in my A4 now for music.

I'm all for the clean look of the screen down. I've been one of those who have bitched about these permanent screens from the start on all other vehicles.
But the fact is, most people will never put them down while in the car.
The downside to retractable screens is that it's just one more thing to break.

I think what 4ringnut was trying to say is that most people leave the screen up 24/7 so why does it really matter?

Me personally I think its a mental thing, if you have the access to the button you'll prob never use it. but when you don't have the button you want it even more. Think of it this way theirs that one really pretty girl that everyone wants but she blows everyone off but you. What do you do? ignore her. Why? because she's to easy to have (the button). But now that very same pretty girl ( the button being taken away) is now with someone else and you no longer have access to her. So what do you do now? bitch and complain and try to get her back (complaining on Audizine about Ipad dash not going down on new B9) Its all about what you cant have.

Sometimes I leave my screen up, other times I leave it down. Many of the features on the screen are available in the dashboard, so if I want an uncluttered look, retract it.
