I'll let the pictures speak for themselves as far as the design/shape, but as far as the plastic finish, absolutely. The Cupra was always had a higher finish quality than the Relak, so they didn't match exactly unless painted. In this case, they match really well.

With B7's becoming easily attainable I still don't understand why we don't have very many aftermarket options/parts out there unless you are a DIYer or know how to fabricate your own parts. Relaks aren't all that amazing. I too am surprised by the fit and finish of the skirts. They do look amazing installed but the supplied hardware and the FRP finish looks like an afterthought considering the overall cost of the part. It's just flimsy plastic!!!

Agreed. Maxton seems to be an improvement in quality overall, for a significantly lower price. Hoping to have pictures here soon.

I have the STi lip I need to try and install. Not sure I like how much it protrudes. I mainly purchased because I was curious about the quality and I used to own a 2005 STi. Back then the only lip options were genuine OEM $$$

So the only final notes on comparison to Relaks:

They definitely don't go as low as Relaks. Imagine these as a flatter design, but just the top half of a Relak. They don't curve back on the bottom. So you don't get quite the low look out of them. That said, it made using a jack easier for sure, and in theory in the winter these won't collect snow and crap like Relaks did. So good and bad in that regard.

Nice that was my next question (jack clearance) but you seemed to cover every aspect. In for better pictures! I'm already 80% inclined to sell my Relaks to someone local. I just need 20% more convincing!

Happy to do it! Lucky for me a local guy bought a set first, so I had seen them in person so it was easier to jump the gun and buy em. Plus one of my relaks is damaged.

As a side note, if you can get ahold of a hockey puck, I always use one when jacking the car. Gives you an extra inch or so of clearance on the side skirts.

One more pic of the side skirts for reference (again, these are the Maxxton Design ones off ECS):

Here's a very close angle of the Relaks for comparison:

Very nice pics! Question, do the Maxxtons extend further on the ends ? The relaks fall a little short, and don't quite extend to the very ends of the factory side skirts both on the front and back side.

I think they end in pretty much in the same places. The pictures I posted earlier give a better view of where they start and end.

Those are very different than the ones on our cars, just a heads up. They are very similar to relaks, just a flat angle instead of rounded

I feel like the flat angle works better with the cupra lip where as the curved work better with the DTM, but I haven't seen them in person...
