Make up a bucket of soapy water and rub it all over your struts, and lines reading them. If you see bubbles you have a leak there.

Could just be a leak in the system, or a bad compressor. If you have had this problem for a while, then the compressor has been working overtime and could be on its way out.

These problems are best fixed quickly before they compile.

most likely cause is a leaky front bag. sometimes parking the car on a higher level than normal will prevent the car from sinking overnight, but this of course is a side step to the problem and is only temporary. If this does fix the issue then you know you have airbag problems for sure. Fix it before you kill your compressor or park the car.

We have experienced this in the shop before. It is a pain in the ass to set the lift on a car when it is dumped to the ground. we have chalked it up to them being picky bitches sometimes. I would assume the control module knows it is below the lower limit (via ride height sensors) and does not always reset itself to try raising the car. It is possible that there is a thermal cutoff in the compressor but I do not know for sure.

You can also park it over night in jack mode, that shuts off the self leveling. If you have a leak it will show the next morning. If it is still level it could just be a sensor like said above.

You can do the soap test to find the leak, but you will probably need to replace the strut.

I think like $1500 for the OEM, lots of people go with Arnot rebuilt ones ($700) then send in your core for the next person.
