Why so many white and black A4s?

Why is it that 80% of the A4s on the road I encounter are either black or white?

i believe overall black and white, along with silver, are the top most popular colors among all cars. and then i think red and blue after that.

but yeah it's just the most common colors. probably relatively easier to find the color for sale, nice neutral colors that appeal to most, also i think the insurance rates are slightly cheaper too.

Most of these cars start off leased and are purchased off the stock on the lot. Silver, black, and white look great on these cars (as do basically all colors TBH) and they're inoffensive to everyone so they're easy to sell and resell.

luxury colors...it's classy...especially black...also, years ago, I remember reading an old article that luxury car brands were inspired by apple with the use of black and white only for that "premium look"...

but in my opinion, black german cars are sexy!

yea i love the black when clean, it looks one of the best. but it's hard to keep it clean longer than 1 whole day lol. also swirls marks and dirt and all that show much easier on black.

i've had my car dipped for about 2 years now, i do miss the black sometimes but most of the time i dont care too much to go back because it's so much more hassle free this way.

Hahaha I didn't mean it like that, but as soon as you get off the grayscale colors the cars become more unique and that limits their consumer base. Personally I've never seen a B8 in a color that doesn't suit the car.

i have to agree, ANY color looks good on these cars. obviously there are certain colors which i personally wouldn't want, but i'm saying it still doesnt look bad on it, and when done right still looks decent, but never ugly IMO.

for example, i never though i'd really care for brown, this is @LoveMyA4's ride and it looks pretty sick.


here's an RS5 in CHROME PINK lol, personally not my style but i still admit it looks kinda cool and not really ugly or anything, IMO.


but yeah all the odd colors like browns, purples, yellows, lime greens etc. they all look good IMO.

For realz? That RS5 looks like a Hot Wheel. Does it say "made in Malaysia" on the bottom? Can it do loops on one of those plastic tracks? Bold move.

Oddly enough, most cars are now white and black because iPhones come in white and black. Many in academia have studied this phenomenon.

lol i'm not saying i'd buy or do that chrome purple pink look to my car, but im just saying even with something that crazy the car doesn't look ugly as much, relative to how most other cars would look in the same thing. like a chrome purple c-class might not look as good as a chrome purple s4, u get my point lol.

but mainly it's that chrome finish, here's a normal satin purple one, this i wouldn't really mind driving, slightly darker. of course there's different levels of good, definitely not as nice as black/white/red etc but it's just not ugly and ruined imo. like most other cars can look very crappy in certain colors.

THIS ^^. I had to special order my car because no local dealership had my color in stock. In fact, the dealer stated they would never pre-order a color like mine because it's a color that you either love or hate. They pre-order the whites, blacks, silvers because they know they will easily sell those cars.

"Nauseous" is definitely not the word I (or others) have used in association with my car, but heck, to each his own.

Brian's car does look sick, but it's not Teak Brown. It's a lighter brown or tan color. Unsure of the official Audi name for the color.
