Have you tried to talk to Audi about it? maybe having them install a real OEM one? I know OEM parts are pricey but me personally if I want to add a feature that Audi has as an option I would buy an OEM part. But thats just me.

I don't believe it's possible to add a factory camera to non navi vehicles without quite a bit of money. If this place is legit and works better than the other backup camera kit people have been using, I would be interested. I would love to add a backup camera if it's a simple plug and play with little to no issues

it says it will there is an option with and with out navigation or at leadt that what I think it is where it asks if you have the internal mmi or external mmi correct me if im wrong.

I think I am going to go with this kit in the near future I'll keep you up to date if I do get it.

I asked Audi last week and they would do the camera install for $2200 Canadian.
I already have Navi on the A4.

I think there are less expensive options out there that work just as well so I wouldn't pay Audi to do it.

I don't mean this kit, I mean a factory option from Audi. If you get this kit let us all know how it works out

If you ever sell it, people will want it to be an Audi part.

I am going to guess this company is just selling the same Chinese manufactured aftermarket units such as XCar Link. XCar Link is in UK. This company appears to be in Woodland Hills, CA. By OEM, I think they are just trying to sasy that it "integrates" with the OEM system (like XCar link's units do). True OEM would probably be superior quality and the ultimate way to go if price was no object. It would be cool to have a newer unit that displays the dynamic guidelines when the steering wheel is turned, the guidelines turn to show you your turn, even though it is probably more usable without it. To be honest, I had a 2015 A3 Loaner the other day and found the guidance markings rather distracting.

that's what I was wondering if it was OEM parts or not because the of the way they describe it "OEM integrated" but I did contact them and they said it is all OEM genuine Audi parts NOT aftermarket seems like it might be a good deal if that's the case

I have a tough time believing for a second that they're actual OEM Audi parts. If so, see if they can give you a list of the actual Audi OEM part numbers, then you can cross reference them on a site like Audi Genuine parts.

My XCar Link version is working pretty well these days. Again, mine's a basic reverse camera, static guidelines (no dynamic steering lines that turn with the wheel) however according to both the XCar link and Emerald Integrations sites, some factory MMI units require tapping power from the reverse light wire at the rear of the car (like mine) thus will not have the dynamic, moving guidelines.

I want to warn you that it is a pretty fair amount of work installing these because you have to remove your radio, screen, glove box, possibly run the wire to the rear reverse light on your tail lamp, etc. Not trying to discourage you, just letting you know what I went through on my own car. Xcar Link sent me a defective camera so there was allot of troubleshooting involved because we didn't know what the problem was.

Its great if the kit works and could be awesome if it is true oem but if it's flaky, could be allot of frustration.

it's pretty much just another branded version of the xcarlink. i have that and its pretty good though, works fine, i mainly just use it for reverse cam, got on ebay, you can get the trunk handle on ebay too. might come out less with that plus getting the camera separate.

You may be right but don't know if it matters that much.
After all, a lot of folks personalize cars with aftermarket alternatives and don't have any issues selling the cars.

Actually, tapping into the reverse light/signal is only required for manual transmissions, automatic does not require that connection. It has nothing to do with the moving guidelines (that signal comes from the passenger's fuse box where the CANBUS connector is located). In manual transmissions, the revers signal triggers the unit to switch to camera view. The RoadPassion unit had moving guidelines, but it wasn't worth much...

My A4 is in the shop right now having the EI kit installed; installer got everything in and working but now the trunk release/camera module won't release the trunk. That's a bug, not a feature! I'll post an updated possibly some pic after/if we get it successfully installed.

Buyer Beware: customer support is between slow and non-existent with E Integrations!

My Audi has been in the shop for four days now waiting on EI to make this right-bad hardware and slow response; calls to tech support repeatedly go to an answering service. I'm recommending to stay away from this group.

Were you able to get the support necessary and resolve your issues. I was considering this for my A4 & wife's Q5.
