    Chorus audio device upgrade

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey guys,

First post here, I own a Audi A4 B8 2009 with Chorus radio device and a monochrome information screen ( Red LED display).
I purchased the following Concert Radio: http://www.ebay.com/itm/111679593078 and i want to upgrade to it.
Is it possible to simply exchange the Chrorus device with the Concert one, or do I have to make some additional changes? Please help.
I searched the forum and did not find an answer to the issue.

    Moshe.

No, you will also need to upgrade other parts, such as the MMI display. Checkout www.kufatec.de, they sell a conversion kit.

First off thanks a lot guys,
From what I read and understood in order to convert from Chorus audio to Concert I will need:
    1. Wiring harness display Audi B8 Radio Concert https://www.kufatec.de/shop/en/Audi/...-Radio-Concert
    2. Original Audi 6,5 inch replacement Display Radio Concert / Symphony : https://www.kufatec.de/shop/en/audi/...ncert-symphony.
    3. Cable set retrofitting MMI basic:https://www.kufatec.de/shop/en/audi/...di-a4-8k-a5-8t.
Does this the correct list of things I will need for upgrading or i will need more things?

I'm not sure what you will need for this but if you're going to do all of that work you might as well build a 3G system.

You're right but I read that making the change from Chorus to Concert is a small one
replace the screen with the one that is in color and record the long code then swap the units and ask the dealer to release c/p then recode the radio with the original code.
Is there anyone that might know this process?

You won't need the MMI basic kit, as it's not part of the Concert system. You WILL need more speakers to avoid fault codes though. The concert system either comes with 8 speakers (2 in dash, 2 in front doors, 4 in rear doors) or with the ASS.

OK this means I have to add two speakers ( plus a subwoofer ) in the back?

    Hi MosheAudi!

How is your upgrade project? I'm facing to the same, what are your impressions?

Codeing process, speaker upgrades, any other upgradeable part...

    Thank you for your help.
