Last night i got home real late last night from traveling and curbed the passenger front wheel / tire pretty bad. There is a chunk out of the tire sidewall, and scraped the wheel pretty good. Do any of you know if this is able to be repaired since this is the part of the wheel that isn't painted? Or do i have to bite the bullet and get a new wheel?

I'm curious to hear if you have better luck than me. I curbed one of mine a while back while I was still getting used to the wider dimensions of the RS compared to my S4. I took it to several repair shops that came highly recommended. They all said that same thing. They couldn't match the color. The machined part that looks like it's not "painted", actually is. Audi puts a tinted matte/semi-gloss clear coat on these wheels and they all told me this color isn't sold in the US. I gave up and ended up buying a new wheel and kept the curbed one as a spare, however a few months later I picked up a nail that went in close to the side wall and came out again where the side wall meets the wheel taking out a small junk of the wheel in the process. So, I tried again and found a place that claimed they mixed the color themselves. I gave them my curbed spare and it was a complete bust. They matched the color, but the clear coat made it too glossy compared to the stock wheels. They then tried again, leaving it matte and it was even worse. I now have a spare wheel that doesn't match at all. They ended up not charging me for it. So far I've been driving around with the one wheel that missing a chunk and at 30,000 miles it doesn't bother me enough to try to have it fixed again. But maybe now that Audi offers similar wheels on the S and other models, you'll have better luck than I did back in 2013/14.

Thanks for the info, might just be better for me to get a new wheel. I will do some research / ask around and let you know what i find out.

The dealer said they'd repair mine (much worse damage than yours) for around $200-250.

I actually just had the same wheels refinished to fix blemishes. One of the wheels had a major dent on the perimeter edge from Fedex dropping it during delivery and another had some pretty bad road rash from a parallel parking fail. Wheels came back in mint factory finish condition to my visible eye and I wasn't able to pick up on any distinction in the finish of the rotors or the polished aluminum edges after the fix.

$125 per wheel, pretty reasonable IMO. Give them a call, they may be willing to work out a deal with you where you ship the wheels to the remanufacturing facility.

I used Crimson Wheel Repair in NJ and they did a beautiful job repairing one of my damaged RS5 VMR wheels. A good shop can repair it and make it look like new. $120 per wheel.

Check with your dealer to see who they use for wheel repair for their customers who purchase the wheel/tire insurance. I scraped the edge of my 19" grey rotors 3 weeks into ownership. After I swap on my black rotors, I brought the damaged wheel to the dealership (I had the insurance) and 10 days later, the wheel was repaired with no way to tell where the scrape had been. The only reason it took ten days, ( I was in no rush) was because they had to wait for another customer with wheel damage to come in...
