2016 S7 - Rear Window Sunshade?

Thinking of having the windows tinted before I pick up the S7 in June.
Is there any sort of sunshade for the rear window on the 2016?
Thought I remembered seeing a pop up shade incorporated into the cargo cover.
Before I have the rear window done I thought I would ask.

I recall that on the audi/UK site, if you were "building" a car, there was an accessory option for a rear shade (manual). This option was never offered on the US site. Otherwise there is just the standard "shade" that covers the hatch so that no one can see the contents. So you might be able to find one of those...otherwise window tint it is.

On a side note, I do wish the 7s came with the auto side shades and a rear shade, even if it was manual.

I did find this company in the UK. I have an email into them asking about 2016 S7 fitment. Will report back with any status.

Very interesting. Is that price for one piece or all five? Definitely keep me posted.

I went back to the configurator on the audi UK site and yes, under equipment;interior there is an option for sun blinds. It is manual and costs 139 gbp.

In the end, tinting is still going to give the best protection but the blinds are easy to install or uninstall.

My 2016 S6 has an automatic sliding rear shade. I'm not 100% sure, but I remember it being mentioned as part of the prestige package.

That's great. I am not 100% sure, but I am pretty sure it is not available on the 7's due to the hatch/sportback. That being said, in a lot of the literature there is mention of a power rear shade, though I have never seen one with it.

^this. I hate the see-through look. Its only good in bars and clubs . I got wincos madico all around as soon as I took delivery. Man the heat rejection is epic. Temperatures have soared into 90's and its effin sunny here. Even after a whole day of being parked out in the sun, the interior is not baking hot . Its hot but pretty tolerable where just a minute into starting the car, it cools down . Me likey!

YES...There is a manual rear window sunshade that attaches to the cargo cover. The shade is NOT for the rear side windows.

had the rear shade on my previous car and hardly ever use it, however I do like the manual side shades.

I like to use the motorized shade in my S6 after I drive aggressively and someone looks angry behind me at a red light. Not sure why it makes me feel good. Ha

I turn mine on manually whenever my kid is in the car and when I leave the car in a parking spot. I usually like it down when driving. Gives a better view of who or what's going on behind you.

In automatic mode, it retracts(if its up) when you go into reverse.

No I have not install the rear sun shade onto my RS7.

My RS7 has Alcantara roof liner and the Alcantara extends to the rear trunk tray that the sun shade should be installed on. To install the sun shade is difficult because its not simply to drill holes for the screws....you actually have to cut the shape of the base of the shade into the rear trunk tray. Since my rear trunk tray is made with beautiful Alcantara, I did not want to risk damaging it during the install.

I'm selling my A7/S7/RS7 rear sun shade if anyone is interested. Its brand new.
