ABS Brakes Fault Code - Need help with Vagcom

After scanning my car for fault codes with Vagcom, the car showed the following fault code:

    03-ABS Brakes -- Status: Malfunction 0010

    Address 03: ABS Brakes (J104) Labels: 8K0-907-379.clb

What I need to do to fix it is re-code the long coding portion in Vagcom. I am not sure how it got screwed up.

The following YouTube video shows exactly what I need to do:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7YRiVYrLjo

The problem is on ross-tech's wiki they don't have a similar explanation for the long code generator for the b8.

What I need is for someone with Vagcom to provide me with their long coding

It's really simple, with the following steps:
    - Connect car with vagcom
    - Launch VCDS, then click 'select control module', then click on '03-ABS Brakes' under the common tab
    - Click long coding and then simply provide me the value that is entered in the long coding field

The only caveat is that any car provided will need to be a DSG car, and will have to have Bosch 8.0 ABS module (this can be found in the header of the '03-ABS Brakes' - it will actually say Bosch 8.0 or something else)

I would really appreciate it if someone took their time to get the code; this will help me clear the fault code.

    Thank you

Is your car by any chance a 2013?

If so, someone may have disabled DSR in the steering control module. Disabled DSR will throw this fault code. I've had the same code for the last 2 years, it hasn't created any problems for me. I've never had the K048 update (or whatever it was called?) nor had my steering rack replaced and my steering has no issues that I've experienced.

I actually did disable DSR in the steering control module. It is a 2013 car.

Interesting, have you tried turning it back on and seeing if that will remove the fault code?

That is exactly the cause of the fault code. Was discussed a lot in the 2013 steering thread fix thread. No, I have not tried to revert the coding in the steering module to remove this fault code. It is doing nothing to my knowledge (I've used ABS a lot ). The Fault priority is 3, so it means you should have the dealership address it when convenient (eg not priority 1 or 2). " The fault doesn't require an immediate service appointment, but it should be corrected with the next service appointment." http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/tour/dtc_screen.html

I believe by disabling the DSR feature, every time you start up the car, the ABS module will throw this code during the handshake period. As far as I know, DSR is a torque interface that the ABS module uses to send the steering wheel a torque if it detects a disturbance due to wind/road crown.

Very useful information. I guess there was an easier fix after all. Thank you

No sorry, you'll need to post more information for people to help (the VCDS print out). FWIW, here's the coding I have on that module:
    110200000206E1EF45028F4E00000403140000000000000000

I've probably done some VCDS mods to this module, but in any case, I'm not showing any DTC codes.
