first of all, i have a 02 3.0 auto.
i have been chasing a misfire issue that i have had for a while. (basically since i bought the car)
i went to change my spark plugs and noticed just about every clip was breaking in my hand. (i know how to remove the properly, b ut apparently the precious owner didnt)
now after changing all of the spark plugs, coils (all from audi) and the plugs i am only getting code P0356 "Ignition Coil F Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction". Ive traced the wires as far back as i could and they all seem nice and clean (surprisingly) but no matter what i do be it swap coils, spark plugs or wiggle the wires around to try and create a short, i get nothing.
i tried to test with a multimeter but i don't know exactly what each wire should be reading. does anybody have any insight? could this be an ecu issue?
at one point my ecm fuse (29 i think?) was bad and i replaced that and it hasn't blown since.
ive also checked for any vacuum leaks (i know how that could cause a misfire...but i dont think it would cause the error code i am getting?)
thanks for any help guys. this is really driving me crazy.
