Black isnt that bad if its not the brilliant black. If you have the crystal black at least there are flakes in the paint to break up the scratches. Brilliant black easily shows swirls and wear. Panther black is by far my favorite

I haven't seen the wheels yet...but I'm hoping they look as good as I have seen on other models

As far as the color and luxury seating...read first post..."wife". Haha. If she wants it, whatever the cost, it's worth it for future stability.

If they look like the RS v spokes, I will be pissed. They will probably still be 8.5 inch width, which doesn't help us much. Would love a 9.5 inch wheel on this car.

If you like black, get black. Obviously it bounces back reflections that highlight any imperfections, but realistically it's no harder to care for than any other color...paint is paint. If you're not confident in your own finish care abilities, there are plenty of professionals out there to provide the service. With so many great coatings on the market - OptiCoat and CQuartz to name but two - you can protect the finish and keep it looking amazing for years with a single quality detail effort.

I'm very glad to hear about the 20" wheel option. 21's are sexy, but in my recent test drive of an SQ5 the ride quality was noticeably more harsh than my lowered Q riding on 20's. Add in the threat of curb rash (you did say, "wife" and all) and the price of 21" tires, and those 20's become more and more attractive. Good luck with the ordering process, and I hope you and the Mrs. are ecstatic.

Was 4 months for me from order to delivery... And the dealer had an immediate allocation.

I like the contrast on white cars but after a second look the black calipers go well with the black optics package.

I think it goes OK with the DGP. Some contrast to the gray wheels and paint..ties in with rear lights.

Anyone with the 21" wheels want to comment on the ride? My 2016 is coming with the 20", which I don't like the look of, but I can live with it if they ride better than the 21s...

The ride on the 21's, even at my height is comfy. I'd compare it to a stock S5. Forget the wheel diameter, and focus on the fact there is still plenty of sidewall.

You will feel a little more high frequency bumps (expansion joints, etc) with the 21's, but the handling is worth it... I am SO glad I got the 21's for summer.

That was my thinking with the seats. Thanks for the comment.

Also, sticking with the 20s was as much about driving comfort as it was about tire choice .
