Trunk lid of A5 Cab unlocks but doesn't physically lift up

I just got a used 2012 A5 Cab and am wondering if similar cars have trunk lids that work the same as mine. Basically I can press the Open Trunk button on my key fob and the trunk lid will unlock but the lid doesn't actually move (i.e. lift up). I have to manually lift it up. Is that how it works on other cabriolets?

    thanks for your insights.

It is actually supposed to pop open. Interesting you mentioned it because my '15 S5 has only 2,200 miles on it and I'm having a similar issue. I open the door to the garage from inside the house, push the trunk release button on the key fob and it only unlocks. It wasn't that way in the beginning. BTW, I also owned a '10 S5 Cab and an '11 S5 Cab and on both the trunk popped up with the fob. You should get it checked out.

My wife's 2010 A6 has had this issue since we bought it a year ago. Took it back to have it and another issue fixed. They didn't fix the trunk.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion that the trunk lid is supposed to pop up. Any idea if that repair would be covered under CPO?
