Door Handle Illumination

Hello all.

I will try to make Door Handle Illumination in my Audi A4 Avant 2011.
But before i start i need to know some things.

1. What door modules, do i need?
2. What wire do i get +/- from?

That's for footwell ambiance lighting. Sounds like he wants to have lights on his door handles, which I've never seen on an A4.

I can only find, light warning light i doors, and foot light. NOT Door handle light.

Inside or outside?

I've seen BMW's equipped with lights incorporated into the outside door handles, but I've never seen an Audi with the equivalent. Example

If it's the inside you want, they already have lights. They just aren't very bright. Seems like you'd just have to change out some LEDs.

I realize the thread I linked to is for fW lights, but there are a few posts which also cover retrofitting the entire interior light package in a post by peet on page 7. Sadly it seems he missed the door handle lights. I'm guessing the OP has a base model A4 without the interior light package, and thus has no door handle lights.

I Dont have light packet, but when i make the warning light in the doors, i just took pin 16 and 5 in the block (front)
And pin 12 and 13 (rear),
then i code the car to "warning light install" and then its works, can i do the same with door handle light? And what pin?

Here are some comparisons Between USA and Europe parts.

8K0837019A is the USA part# of the door handle and it just says "with lighting" in the description.
The part # is different in Europe, 8K0837019G for LHD and there are a bunch of different colors... but the description also says "with lighting" so I doubt there is a difference.

The door control module shows no difference between Europe and USA. There are multiple revisions based on date of manufacture only.
8T0959793G is the drivers side one used from model year 2011 onward (sedan) and 8T0959793M (Avant).

The door control module has a 32pin (supposed to be blue in color) connector that splits out to a number of controls and lights including the door unlock switches, and the door handle illumination.
The door handle illumination is just 2 pins.

Which one is + and -, front and rear for the handle light?

I just checked B8.5... I have lighting in the door handle. It's pretty dim but obvious.

How do i see what module i have?

Run a scan with VCDS and it will show the part numbers of the modules.
