Ya i went a couple of weeks ago there and it was closed on a monday and thought it was weird. Matt and Riccardo both didnt answer their phones so i assumed they were just closed for the day. That sucks to hear about what happened but it explains the no answers to my calls.

Raven motorsports has not gone out of business however, Matt has taken a high pay job at audi. Raven is still open but booked solid and in a transitional phase. Matt is weighing out options right now and is considering having a smaller shop while working at audi.

Thanks for the info.. I heard from Raz @ AU that Riccardo was referring/sending clients down to their shop for service.. I hope even a scaled-down smaller operation will eventually be available.. great shop.. great guys..Long live Raven!

Yes closed for good, both Matt and Ricardo have moved on. We reviewed various methods of reviving the shop, but it economically it didn't make any sense.

I don't understand some of this. Wasn't the business as a whole doing well? didn't you guys have enough work?
Why not keep the shop minimal while undergoing whatever you moved on with? to keep even more of a side income?
To much of a hassle? to much headache? owning a business was never suppose to be easy. And the shop had a great reputation across the board. And it still does.
Why not sell the business to some one to keep it going even. Just a thought.

I met up with Matt earlier today to pick up a nice set of Penske coilovers he was selling.. he said that he will be opening a small 1-lift biz in Huntington Beach in about 2 months.. that's the plan... that way he can cherry pick the jobs he wants to do as well as work on his personal projects/track car.. it will be a one man operation as Riccardo has moved on and is pursuing other interests... as we fist bumped he said he would keep me informed as to when he'll be up and running again.. "2 months time man" as the Raven departed..I told him he has a fuckload of people that are wondering and want him to keep the doors open.. the saga continues.. lets see!

+1 for AU Tuning. Took my '13 A4 to them for years and was never disappointed and I will take my '16 SQ5 there as well. Raz and Dave are cool guys and definitely know what they're doing.

I do still keep in contact with him occasionally. I also have been recommending them for years as I am also a former employee but I was a customer for years before deciding to work for them.
