Just bought a 1987 Audi 5000 CS Turbo

Up and got a new project/beater car for the winter. Got it for 500, but have to pick it up in upstate new york sometime soon.

10v 2.2L inline 5 turbo . . . looking forward to it.

damn man nice pick up! my 200 was relatively cheap but not THAT cheap! looks like it might already have a few mods too!

if not throw a chip and wastegate spring on there; along with strapping your stock IC and you'll be huntin wrx's in no time!

go to www.motorgeek.com and www.audiworld.com to their 5k/200/v8 section, those guys know these cars inside and out.

yeah I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on this car. The potential for the engine is amazing. I've tuned my current 1.8T to exactly what I want for a daily driver. Now I want to go a bit crazy with a powerplant that is able to withstand the treatment reliably and be a sleeper on the road.

I can't wait till I pull up to some sweet B7 S4 and show him what an old car can do.

It's gonna be my Vermont ski cruiser . . . oh yeah!

I love the decals as well . . . I think I might just have to keep them!

the decals are pretty OG audi; ide at least keep the rings on teh bottom if you wana keep it gangster. ha

i dont think that front air dam is stock either, you got yourself quiet the deal my friend! lower miles than my 200; and mine is a 1990!

there was one similar to that at dubfest that put down 600 hp!!! it had a gt40 on it.....

Don't change anything!!!!! Its perfect the way it is . . . maybe after you give it a good wax job. Other than that don't change anything!!!

I really am digging the oldschool stripes and quattro decals! I think I'll keep them just the way they are. the body and paint look to be in really good shape. it needs a bit of sanding/primer/repaint on the lower quarter behind the front wheels but that's no problem at all. the engine bay needs lots of love. I'll probably pull the whole thing out, and strip it all the way down to the block. rehone the cylinders, new piston rings, bearings, etc. new stem seals, main seals, check the clutch, etc. clean all the intake up, sandblast them and make them look nice.

quite a project, it'll gonna be nice.

yeah, I've been looking into K26 vs. K24 turbo's. I'm not sure what comes stock on the car right now though. The K26 will spool a bit later but'll have a much better top end. They're really rather cheap as well, compared the the K04 I have on my car now at least.

I'm really leaning towards an RS2 replica though, more potential.

yea, its all about the rs2 mani and rs2 turbo....much more power. there's other options out there that are comparable/cheaper/some say better than the rs2....
