How should I clean the residue inside the coil pack/spark plug wells? Is there a safe method? Please let me know. Thank you.

Thank you everyone. I think I'm taking this far too lightly, the oil and residue inside these wells may indicate to me that its time to replace the valve covers. This would be a wise time to do so.

With the plugs in, take a small piece of tubing and fix it to a wet vac and remove all fluid and residue from the wells. Spray in brake cleaner and vacuum out the wells again. Blow the wells out with compressed air then remove the plugs and with a good shop towel rapped around a finger or screw driver reach into the well and wipe the walls clean. Install new plugs and pay attention to any signs of grit that may have settled in the threads of the cylinder head, if any is found insert a pipe cleaner brush and lightly spray some wd40 while rotating the brush up and out of the head.

Thanks, I'm going to continue this discussion on the other thread pertaining to the Valve Cover Gasket as the this seal is the potential culprit behind the oil present in the wells (Pictures Included).

Here is the current snapshot; please note I cleaned majority of the outer cover yesterday while removing the Coils,
