I'm going to get back with them and see if they will provide 14 and 15 model years. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't.

It might be too early for 2015s, but I'm sure they will have no issues giving you 2014 numbers as well

Am definitely interested in the 2015 numbers just to see how close I came to the last one... :) Any idea when those numbers would be available?

I had an interesting chat with a friend in Australia. Just for kicks we called the main Audi dealer in Sydney to find out whether the RS5 was still available since he found it "configurable" on an Audi website. So he calls up and the sales guy said "no problem, mate, you can order anytime up to 2016...". So since he had me on speaker phone, I said I was surprised as the line for orders had stopped in the US. He obviously couldn't speak for other countries but "Down Under" you can order them no problem.

So eiher this guy doesn't have a clue OR it seems that orders are still being taken in other countries than NA. I noticed on the German Audi site, the car is still listed... Thoughts?

IIRC, every country gets an allocation. AU probably hasn't used up their allocation yet. You'd think it'd be easy enough to just send them out to whomever, but there are country specific differences, and then there's shipping to contend with as well. For example, I knew Canada blew through their allocation very early this year…*(maybe February??) and they sell far fewer RSs than the US, so that lends some credence to the allocation theory.

Germany gets them for years prior to us and after us. Moral of the story is that we are done with them until we find out if we get a B9 version (I kind of hope not). Other than that you shouldn't worry about other countries as you couldn't have that one here anyway.

Germany will be done with the RS5 as well. They'll start selling the B9 A5/S5 for 2016. The B9 RS5, if there is gonna be one, won't be available until 1 or 2 years into the B9 cycle and then the question is if and when they'll bring it to North America. Part of the delay of the North American intro of the B8/.5 RS5 was the fact that Quattro Gmbh had to redesign the rear crash zone for the US market. This is the reason we didn't get the Dynamic Ride Control suspension. The redesign didn't leave any room for the central valves that connect the diagonally opposing dampers.

There are still RS5s in the dealer pipeline that haven't been produced yet. My dealer has some due for production in week 19, which is in May, and told me I can still change one to the way I wanted it (at least as of a couple of weeks ago - and what I was going to change was pretty minor - wheels and interior trim). So, I expect new RS5s to continue to show up on dealer lots through the summer at a minimum and won't be surprised if inventory will last through the end of 2015 even if you can no longer order one to your specifications at any dealer you choose.

Completely agree Swiss. And not trying to be argumentative, but why is there always an "if there is a RS" from everyone? This only applies to if we get it in the states. Germany has always gotten RS models from 4-7 I believe, and now they are getting the 3 as well. They also get the equivalents of RS models for their SUVs even though they aren't badged that way. Back to my point, there will be a RS5, but it may not hit the states.

Agreed, Germany gets RS for the 3-7. There was an RS3 even for the last gen. Looks like the US will be getting the RS3 sedan. As for the Q, so far there is only the RS Q3.

A little late, but, here is the last response from AoA:

Thank you for your email reply.

In order to obtain sales figures we would need a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to have the breakdown of other combinations that were sold. So if you can find a VIN with the options you would like pulled, we can get that specific combination, but a more general combination, there are just too many options and packages to break it down. I hope this helps to answer your question.

You may reach back out to me with any additional questions by replying to this email or contacting us directly at +1 877 615 2834. If I am not available at the time of your call, any of my associate’s may assist you. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
