How much weight can an S5 take

So like.... for my job..
I end up taking heavy equipment in the back of my S5 all over town many days a week. It's a digital microscope system, and with all the protective cases and lenses, it sits at about 120lbs. Now this weight is dispersed over my trunk and back seats (which are down), but can be in the car for extended periods of time. I noticed today with the windows down and having the car sounds reflected back to me by a nearby wall that it almost sounded like squeaking of breaks or something just cruising down the road.

The noise is high pitched and faint, but it sounds like my car is riding on or rubbing something. Is leaving a heavy microscope in my car frequently going to hurt anything over a long period of time?

120 pounds is barely any load. the car's designed to seat two adults in the rear seats plus cargo. it's probably not the microscope causing that noise.

Lol at 120lbs being "heavy" equipment. Like GSS5 said, the car can hold two adults and cargo in the rear. That is well over 120lbs, heck even an average adult is at least 120lbs. Honestly it sounds like might be suspension or brakes. But that's not a surprise, since you do have a very high mileage S5.

Wow .. The trunk of the coupe is huge. I could probably only fit that keyboard with joystick and mouse in the trunk of my S5 convertible .
