? About 2010 A6 Avant 3.0t Prestige vs Premium Plus

Hello and just a bit of an intro before I get to the asking...

Not my first rodeo





but out of all the fun there comes a time for a DD and since AoA won't give me what I want as always I'm going to make my own, in this case I'm not going all the way in but I want to do something a little extra.


So I'm looking for an A6 Avant 3.0t, that I would like to do a mini rs6 conversion. I don't know how far I'm going to take this but as for now just keeping it mellow with hopefully some F&R bumper conversions and bits and pieces here and there.


The most important thing for me right now is to find a good base of a car and would like some input on any differences that can't be fixed or easily replaced like headliner for an example, rather find one with black headliner already in it. I know the car I'm looking for isn't going to pop up today or tomorrow even though I'm eying a few on the market now.

What is the main difference between Premium Plus and Prestige?
Is it purely exterior cosmetics but limited to front and rear bumper?
Interior differences besides steering wheels? (Is there a Heated flat bottom anywhere I can find lol)
Any performance differences as far as diff or anything else?

I'm sure I will come up with more questions and yes I did a search but nothing that really helped me out, I know it all depends on the car as we get weird ones out there that have been special ordered or the dealer made a unique combo when ordering but just looking for some general information right now.

Thanks and that was informative but the car I am looking at has the cornering lights and is listed as a Premium Plus.

I noticed they mention transmission, is there a difference in the tranny between the 2 packages?

Welcome to the club, that's just about what I am doing as well.

What I ran into was the sometimes the options on different cars didn't seem entirely consistent. I ended up with a Prestige that had the options I wanted short of the a sport package. I wasn't worried as most of the stuff covered under that is what I was going to change anyway...

Yeah my main focus really is Black Headliner, LED Lights, Full Lighting Package, Anything Performance wise as far as if there was a sport diff option or not, Brakes, ETC.

Things I don't care about it, bumpers, diffusers, grills, or anything like that.

Isn't the black headliner only on S and RS cars?

Yeah, I don't think you can get one with black headliner.

I have the amaretto interior which gives you brown headliner:

Is yours a sedan? I don't think Audi ever did a s-line interior for the avant, I think at most you just got a different steering wheel that isnt heated.

This is exactly why I created this thread, nobody knows the differences that are out there and I feel like we need to know what is out there and what is not possible.

Any noticeable differences between the 09 to 10/11? I know the issue with the water pump but should be all replaced under warranty, any other differences?

I've done a lot of looking into this and it seems pretty easy. You just need a wheel with them, if you are going from 4 spoke to 3 get the airbag too. Lots of threads out there on it too.

Yes i have a sedan but im also from canada so maybe there was different packages offered up here. i notice people from the states don't usual have the sline package unless its a 2011 well up here we got it from 09-11. black headliner only comes with prestige or 19" sports package tho.

Is the interior from the older C6 fit into the 09-11 ones? I wonder if they came with black headliner at all.

Also curious to if anybody has fitted the c7 front end onto the c6

Marin Audi has a 2010 Avant with amaretto headliner at the moment. Prestige.

I checked that one out but just not digging the quartz color too much, I think what bothers me most is the fact the pics they took the car is dirty, scratches all over the door speakers and in random places, the front bumper looks like it's been in a crash and the front tow hitch cover is missing.
