Plasti dip'd wheels look like shit two weeks after applied. We see them all the time in the service dept. ghetto.
Spend 600 and powder coat them. Do it right

the dip if layed on thick enough will hold on for winter. I purely use it for my winter wheels as it kinds does look cheap, but hey an extra layer of protection from salt and rocks right.

Disagree. If you take the time to do it right they come out real nice. Mine have a nice even coat and when correctly applied you can't beat it for the price...

If you do it right they hold up well for quite a while. Once they start looking a little tired it only takes a few minutes to spray on another coat or two to rejuvenate them. If you decide you really like the look you can then have them powder coated if you want to.

Not a B8, but I plasti-dipped the wheels on my truck a while back, held up fine for a year or so, then it needed touching up. I was going for the teflon look, and got just that. Not to mention you can't beat the price, I put a ton of coats on so it ended up being a can per wheel at $6 per can.

Winter wheels for me. Not too bad IMO. I used black and maybe 2 coats of gloss. Matte looked a little cheaper than usual to me but if applied proprly plastidip can be very, very smooth. Held up really well through this awful chicago winter. Forgive the mess. working on the brakes here so the drivers side is in up on jack stands. lol @ that wheel gap

A buddy of mine just dipped his silver AG M590's in Anthracite. They turned out really really well.

my car when it used to be black, wheels are done in anthracite with a light coat of pearlizer over, gives it a slight shine and a slightly lighter shade like a gunmetal, anthracite on it's own is a bit darker than here, but looks good still either way.

plastidipped wheels are hard to clean and maintain. What makes them look like crap is that brake dust clings to it really hard.

Get a good wheel cleaner and you won't have any problems maintaining it. Just seems like a bit of waste, considering you'll probably spend more time cleaning dip than regular wheels.

I would even use Adams VRT on mine after washes for a bit of shine.
