Recommended tire size for 21x10.5" wheels

I have some 21x10.5 wheels on order and just want to see what most of you are running for that size wheel. I've seen the range of 275/30/21, 285/30/21, 295/30/21 and 295/25/21 tires on this size wheel. Looking for something that I could daily comfortably, but also won't rub as my car sits pretty low (front fenders are rolled). I want to go with Michelin PSS, but there's limitation in sizes, would 295/30/21 be too much tire?

This is how my car is sitting on stock 20's.

I have 295/30r21 PSS on my RS7. They are slightly taller and obviously wider than stock. You can really lay into an exit ramp with that much sticky contact. Mine rubbed slightly when I was really laying into a corner, part of the reason I am going with new sway bars well, to help deal with the body roll.

I would go with 285 personally. 295 is too wide for me. I also have new wheels with the same width on order but 20 inch. I went with the smaller wheel route to save weight on an each wheel and wrap around them with PSS 285/30/20. Those stock 21 blade wheels are so damn heavy.

I was thinking 275/30, but no PSS in that size, so maybe I'll look into 285's.

PSS has 285/30/21 but it's back order everywhere. You will have to be patient if you want that tire.

Since it was not mentioned yet, 285 will equal less rim protection. If you are really careful it wont matter but wider rubber will always protect your wheels better.

This is what 295s look like BTW:

I like the aggressiveness of this, but i really doubt it will work at the OP's ride height

I just put 275/30/21's (Hankookies) they are perfect. A little too tight due to the offset I am running being that the car is on airbags...but the ride comfort/style goes well together.

I would tend to agree. The total height of a 295/30r21 is +.5 so +.25 from the center. Lowering at all in combination with this would cause rubbing in many situations.

BTW, I don't actually know who took the pics of my car but the guy with long gray hair in the top one is me :)

I am running 275/30/21 on 10.5 ET30 wheel.....there is a stretch to it but it allows me to go for the stance I am looking for using the H&R ETS Module.

Right now, I am running the OEM wheels & tires [275/30/21 Conti] with the KW HAS, while my HRE wheels are getting some re-finishing. Very full wheel well, but no sign or sound of rubbing.

Are those stock 20x9 with 265/35 tires?

Yeah on 20" stockers. This is how she sits with the 21's.

Looks awesome and not to open up the floodgates on an old thread but what tire size you go with? I got Vossen 21x10.5 with 275/30/21 tires and I am thinking to go with a slightly wider tire size. I’ve heard folks go 295/25/21 which I am evaluating
