A4 Lighting / Turn Signal Lights

Hey guys, new to the community. Looking to do lots to my B7 A4. One of the more less intensive projects I have in mind is messing with the lighting. Specifically, I've noticed a lot of pictures of Audis with their lights on (city mode? and regular?) and both modes do not have the turn signal bulb on. I don't know why, but in both modes for my car, the amber turn signal bulb is always on.

My question is if anyone has messed with this (I'm sure, I know I've read some VAG-COM modification, etc, not sure if this relates to it) and made it so that it is only on when blinking... and why exactly some Audis don't do what mine do.

Here's a picture of my dial that is missing some things(possibly options that weren't actually put in the car) even though the manual shows two more options (an auto and another option)

You can turn off the amber lights (turn signals) with vag com in city light mode.

I'm asking why some Audis seem to have the amber off (maybe a regional thing I thought), and how it is usually accomplished... from the sounds of it, I should use Vag Com to change it to Euro I think.

Ambers with turn signals only = ROW (Rest of the World) VAG-COM settings.

The turn signals are ON in the US cars by default. Yes they can be tuned OFF and be ON only when used as turn signals or hazards via vag com. No hardware mod needed. Check the regionals section to see if anyone local in your area is willing to help you out. Takes all of 2 minutes. :)
